Data protection law applies to private and public organisations. Doesn't mean dodgy staff wouldn't sell shit to newspapers though.
This is not the time to be reasonable.
If this turns out to have just been a face lift, then the palace will have trolled the papers and the people brilliantly.
But if she is actually in a coma as described by Spanish press who claim their info is 100% from a reliable source (possibly the hospital records that we now hear were accessed by staff) then the whole thing needs to be open and transparent.
He's "walked back" on the video being them. That's enough to cast doubt. And to be fair the video doesnt look like her.

I've just watched it on Twitter and I'm another vote for it's not them. The couple in the video do look like Katie and Billy The Bald but they also look at least as much like my nephew and his girlfriend and I know it's not them either.
