Sky News has looked at the meta data and it was taken with a proper camera, IIRC a Canon, then opened and re-saved in photo-shop twice.

all very strange. why didn't they just get a pro to take a nice family pic? job done. they're digging holes at every turn.

Then a clearly very bored 'working' royal got stuck in in Photoshop, probably using tutorials from tiktok. as a graphic designer myself i think it's actually quite sweet. it's the sort of shit i would have done 20 years ago. she's gone a bit mad on masking and the clone tool by the looks. I mean if I had sent that out to a picture agency as a junior designer I'd have been sacked but still. She's royalty.

I have a kilt that used to fit me when I was 21. It’s not Balmoral tartan. Balmoral tartan is for hotel carpets.

My advice on tartans is wear whatever you like the look of. The idea of “Official Clan Tartans” was an invention of Regency romanticism, and the clan chiefs violently evicted their tenants to replace them with sheep in any case, so fuck honouring them.

Last time I needed a kilt for a wedding, I hired one. It was Flower of Scotland tartan.
