With David Renton
Wednesday 11th August, 7pm

_________________________________________

David Renton will be discussing the anti-fascist struggles Londoners have engaged in over the years, taking in East Enders’ resistance against Mosley’s Black Shirts in the 1930s, the Anti-Nazi League fights of the 1970s, right up to today’s struggles against the BNP and the English Defence League.

David is an independent writer and historian based in London. He became an active socialist in his late teens and has a long-term interest in the politics of anti-fascism and anti-racism, as well as trade unionism. He has participated in a wide range of political campaigns, including Anti-Nazi League, Campaign for Palestinian Rights, the Stop the War Coalition and Unite Against Fascism.
