The Swiss writer and photographer Annemarie Schwarzenbach in the 1930s. She may be less famous than Katherine Hepburn or Grace Jones but it was groundbreaking queer people like her, who their style was inspired by.

I earlier referred to Karina Belkina. This is an example of her music and style. She has a very distinctive style.

Not so sure what's distinctive about her. Go to a retro night in London and you'll see hundreds of women dressed like her. And she's performing a Julie London cover in the style of the period.

I guess that living in Iberia for the last 16 years, I'm no longer in touch with London retro nights. Nonetheless I think she has a very distinctive style.
