The Sweden Democrats have become the 2nd biggest party in Sweden and it looks like they may be able to form a coalition government with the other right-wing parties. This year the rise of the far-right Sweden Democrats, with their roots in white nationalism and fascism, are really challenging the established order in Sweden, setting the agenda for discussion around immigration and law and order. If the other parties on the right want power they will have to bring the Sweden Democrats in with them, being the 2nd biggest party they will for sure want seats in the cabnet, may be even the job of Prime Minister.

With 97% of the votes counted it looks like the right parties will win, it should be confirmed tomorrow (14/9/22)

Been on the cards for some time.
Parties that had to varying degrees embraced cooperation with the far right all experienced a fall in support: the centre-right Moderate party saw its vote slip to 19.1%, the Christian Democrats and Liberals also lost share, while the SD vote grew by three points to 20.6% – the ninth election in a row that the party has expanded its share of the vote. “The Moderates party did not believe voters would stay with the SD if the Moderates shifted rightwards on immigration and crime,” said Mikael Gilljam, a politics professor at Gothenburg University. “But it turned out that voters wanted the real thing rather than ‘SD lite’.”
Which follows the same pattern as in France and Italy, the hard right gaining at the expense of the centre right.
The FdI look increasingly likely to take the greatest share of the vote in Italy too, so very good possibility they'll be in government at some level come end of Sep.
