England v Algeria

Teams are shit - full of overpaid primadonnas -. I support the referees :hmm:

Fascist! You clearly love to collaborate with the forces of authoritarianism and will bow down to anyone in a uniform with a bossy whistle. Like all good socialists, I support the groundskeeping staff. :p

A little worried about the current trend for card-happy refs. Aside from the obvious 'boiling over', it looks like any clumsy challenge is getting you in the book :(

Just watched Germany get beat in Dusseldorf flights being on time should get home to watch England thump Algeria....a good day all round:)

Although it's shown as a home game, it's not, it's still played in Sth Africa... :p

should be this team

James

Johnson Dawson Terry A Cole

Barry
Lennon Lampard J Cole
Gerrard

Rooney

test out Dawson (Carragher and Upson not good) while we are playing Algeria, who are shite. Maybe save Barry and have Carrick if Barry still not totally recovered)

how dare you, you scamp

:D

I've never really understood the 'test em out, see what they can do' comments. We've been watching them all season in the Premiership which is a higher standard then a lot of international games.

Surely we know exactly what he can do

i suppose what i'm saying is give him a go and see if he's better than Carragher ie can he tackle people who run past him

I'm happy enough with Carragher. We are slow in the centre of defence but the full backs will need to sweep behind, it's always been one of the best aspects of Ashley Cole's game.

I agree with you on David James though.

Predicted score from Julian Fisher in South Africa: 10-0 to England

"The goalkeeper is not good," Julian said, reflecting on Robert Green's blunder that led to United States' equalizer in the 1-1 draw with England. "They should have asked David James (to play)."

If Capello acts on his advice, Julian reckons the victory margin will be comfortable — "I think England 10, Algeria 0."

He is only 9 years-old :D
