Elden ring

I know what you mean, I bought it again on ps5, and struggled with it. didn't get past the mage tower bits, its just so massive.

Although just finished ' Lies of P' tommers its really fucking good, a proper souls like and not too big.
Yeah I saw that when it came out. I'll try it when it's on sale.

I got right to the end and ground to a halt a little bit. I've done pretty much everything except beat the Elden Beast, Malenia and Dragonlord Placidusax. At some point I'll pick it back up and have another go but I just lost a little bit of patience for getting beaten up by the same enemies over and over again. Amazing game though.

I played this today for an hour cos I was bored and found two completely new dungeons that I hadn't found in my previous 160 hours.

I do get game fatigue. As a completions I don't even want to play some games as I know I'll dissappear under a pile of side quests

Somehow though I found ERs extras somewhat endearing.

Dame for most from soft stuff

yeah, I wasn't moaning. It's amazing really. I'm quite enjoying just messing about in it now the pressure is off :D

Trying to decide whether to give this another go. It's not cheap , but I think I can afford it.

Those boss fights though are a tough proposition.

Will Rishi Sunak allow me to spend my benefit on Elden Ring? :D

Thanks to astute CEX shenannigans, I am now Elden Ringing.

I went Prophet. Somehow having shitty health seems irrelevant at this stage :D

Who knew the gods looked favourably on me stabbing soldiers in the back

welcome to the party, KM.

tip: try learn to parry .... I could never manage it (to any meaningful level). lots of videos out there on how-to.... I thought it would be like Dark Souls, where , when it 'clicks' then you can parry 9 times out of 10 .... but Im still at 1 time in 10 . Cant rely on that to take down a boss!

Enjoy !

It really isn't.

Seriously one of your fist goals should be getting vigor to 40, just level other stats as much as you need to to use the spells and weapons you want. Longer term you will want 60, but at 40 you can afford to spread your levels around more, and by then you should have hight level weapons so your other stats matter for more than just meeting the minimum requirements.

The Many Deaths of Karl Masks, aka Orion the Prophet.

I have killed some neanderthals and their weird chiefs in a cave and a cat statue with a sword and a flaming tail.

I am still dressed in rags.

My vigour is now 17.

An angry viking on a horse is chasing me. Send lawyers guns and money

Did you notice the back exit to the cave?

Around the lands you will see medium sized statues that look like hunched over crones / beggars (There is a fire bowl in their extended hand) You can interact with this statue, and it will shine a beam towards a cave / dungeon for extra fun & rewards.

yes, it's how i left the cave, why?
Just curious I guess. The dragon spells might be a thing for you to look at as a prophet, but you need more arcane as well for them.

But mainly it avoids the "how do I get to that island" question that bugs some people.

What island? I was talking about the cave with two demi human chiefs on the southern beach of limgrave. I didn't see anything else in that cave before I left

Yes past the boss fight the cave carries on and brings you out on the island just off the shore

Got to be honest, these boss fights are so difficult I'm beginning to think this was a mistake. I have no idea how on earth you ever beat some of this. I have found no decent gear, and since xp is tied to not dying it becomes impossible to progress.

It's open world. You can grind easier areas to get more xp.
