I just can't see Trump returning as president, as Chris Sununu says in the interview above, he doesn't have enough support amongst independents, and there's sizeable minority in the republican party that seems to be in the 'anyone but Trump' mode. I think as more republicans wake-up to him not being electable there's a chance he'll not get even the nomination, or if he does, as Sununu says they will be crushed in the election.

I hope this is right, but every time I check the opinion polls, Trump remains pretty much neck and neck in approval ratings with Biden. And as we know that the electoral collage massively favours the Republicans. Biden needs a clear lead to guarantee victory. Someone please tell me why I'm wrong!
