Donald Trump - MAGAtwat news and discussion

It would be quite funny if Trump prevailed in the swing states after all the hyper-targeted shitfuckery by Musk/Russia, but lost due to losing Texas and Florida where they had their eye off the ball.

Just check out Cancun Cruz. He is having a meltdown and begging for support and money. He is in very real danger of losing, which was unthinkable previously. Come on Texas, you can do it. Admittedly he pissed off his constituents with his antics of jetting off to Mexico during the crisis when they were facing freezing conditions with no help from him, but maybe the tide is turning in Texas? Beto closed the gap greatly recently in the race for governor I think.

Is it 50/50 though? What polls are you referencing that suggest that?

Independent polls, if any still exist, or polls that the elements of the American MSM media (that somehow felt unable to commit to or come out in favour of one or the other candidates) are pushing?

What polls are telling you that it's 50/50?
50/50 at best. As mentioned previously, I'm referencing the betting odds. So even if you ignore poll bias or bias interpreting the results of polls for the news, betting shops and financial markets (also betting on Trump) don't want to throw away money.
My point is that even if Harris wins it should not be anywhere near this close, Trump shouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell of even getting 10%, but here we are. Roughly 50% of voting Americans are willing choose him over Harris. That's insane.

I'm torn on this one. Anyone wearing a MAGA cap is undoubtedly a dick, doubly so when wearing it outside the context of like-minded people. It's a deliberately provocative gesture.

Equally, don't get so wound up by a piece of headgear that you end up chucked off a plane and/or arrested. Dick move, and lets the MAGA dick get what they want, which is to play the victim and shout "fascist" at everyone else.

He sounds a bit worried about Pennsylvania:

Betting markets don't know any better than anyone else. They set the odds based on how much money is placed on which candidates.

I agree. It's just shocking that it was a thing anyway.

I'm purely at the level of reading polls and stories on the election and have no insights. However, have a feel that Trump's Joe Rogan appearance might be one of those tiny things that make a difference in one state or another (getting young men to vote). As always, the way people vote reflects 'deep' aspects of their life and so if Trump wins it will be about being an American in late capitalism. But then there's the campaign, the candidates and the 'offer' they make. It just doesn't seem like the Democrats sell to the voters has really connected. And there has recently been a bit of a Hilary vibe going on. :( We'll see in a week or so (or perhaps not).

Sure. Ok I see.
But it must still be pretty close if there is no totally obvious outcome and financial markets are betting on Trump winning. My only point here is that is bonkers that it is close.

Only the best people..........I'm shocked, shocked I tell ya, that a maga moron would do this  . Their whole party is full of convicted felons who previously shouted from the rooftops about the abuse from Dems. I believe it's called projection, and their leader is the master of it.

Not just markets though
Big rich backers waving goodbye to a few million quid in order to help build the feel that Trump is winning so that it feels fishy if he doesn't.

I noticed the the MSG rally, they had live odds and betting links on screen during the mania. Every one of those chumps that sticks on 100 dollars is helping drive Trumps odds down.

There's no such equivalent for Harris. So as a result she is way under priced. That's not to say she's gonna win, but she's a decent bet at 5/2 if you can bear it. (Bases on anything anyone can possible actually know at this point).

Will be interesting see what happens to the markets when/if there's a bump in the road on election day. I expect many to cash out whatever they can (noone will care about the fluctuations on the day - that won't be important for the narrative) but that might mean the whole thing tumbles quite quickly.

we found more voter fraud

Thus far, four Trump supporters have been arrested for cheating.

There’s Danielle Christine Miller, charged with two felonies for casting a vote in her dead mother’s name for Trump.

There’s Larry Lee Savage Jr, who stole two ballots during a test run of voting machines in Indiana.

There’s Val Biancaniello, who was arrested for disorderly conduct after allegedly harassing voters in a line in Media, PA.

And there’s Caleb James Williams, who harassed early voters in Neptune Beach, FL waving a machete.
