Donald Trump - MAGAtwat news and discussion

Yup. That’s stopped me too.

Oh well.

Thank you for trying anyway.

I’m sure it’s not world stopping stuff. I was just curious to know his read on Trump’s sartorial choices.

It was a good read (and DG knows and is very entertaining re his sartorial stuff) but if you're wondering if he looked at the impact trump's style of dressing and his presentation of himself sartorially might have on the viewer/voter, then no, he didn't go down that route, other than saying that Trump "dresses as a flashy businessman and entertainer. His suits are heavily padded to create an imposing, authoritative figure. His bright red tie is a matter of branding.. "

Derek Guy's focus was on the 'technical' reasons why trump's suits are so badly fitting, so prone to creasing, so oddly tailored, so shoulder pad heavy and so not, as some of his more delusional supporters try to claim, indicative of an aristocratic or patrician style of dress.

Shit almighty! The man has lost everything, and he had a fair old bit, now all gone, all the material shit he'd gained in life and his reputation, and yet he's prepared to come back for more. It really is a fucking cult.

Like the advert below his face, no Rudy, no £1500 credit limit card for you pal.

His daughter has other ideas.

Although it clearly is a cult, I don't think Guliani deserves to be seen as a victim of it. He's as ugly and self-serving and amoral as trump.

Thanks for doing that iona
I appreciate it, and also the info.

As a person who always declines cookies, I now have to go through the manage consent form to click everything off. I’m familiar with this particular form and it takes ages. I don’t think I’ll bother, at least not right now.

That would be great Iona. Thank you.

I had a look at what VivaE posted but it looks like I have to download and register for an app to do that, and then find the post in question in the thread which they linked to.

I hope and trust the info is worth all this trouble! How many people are involved in this project now?! :D
I usually right click on the timestamp of the twatter post and go open in incognito/private window, then accept all the cookes, delete everything after the string of numbers which marks the actual post and bob is your uncle, close incognito window after reading and cookies be gone.
e2a: on a computer so might not work on a phone/tablet though

Trump allegedly groped Stacey Williams -

The alleged groping occurred some months later, in the late winter or early spring of 1993, when Epstein suggested during a walk they were on that he and Williams stop by to visit Trump at Trump Tower. Epstein was later convicted on sex offenses and killed himself in prison in 2019.

Moments after they arrived, she alleges, Trump greeted Williams, pulled her toward him and started groping her. She said he put his hands “all over my breasts” as well as her waist and her buttocks. She said she froze because she was “deeply confused” about what was happening. At the same time, she said she believed she saw the two men smiling at each other.

Trump campaign has dismissed the allegations as "fake". Which is a shock.

Those Hitler rumours just wont go away. Another former Trump star gets stuck in

Kelly said in an interview -

"Well, looking at the definition of fascism: It's a far-right authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy," he told The Times.

Trump has responded, calling him

a "total degenerate."

John Kelly is a LOWLIFE, and a bad General, whose advice in the White House I no longer sought, and told him to MOVE ON!

Kelly is a warmongering cunt, Id have sacked him too.

One of the funniest parts is how supporting Trump cost him everything and Trump wouldn't even pay him for his services - the $2 million Trump owed Giuliani now belongs to the Georgia election workers and the judge has given them the all-clear to start pursuing him for it

I really wish the political class over there, and here to an extent, would understand that their failed system of running campaigns has actually failed.

This whole Harris campaign is turning into one long 2016 tribute act, where everyone is told they can’t possibly vote for the scary woman-bothering man. This campaign should have been devoted to reminding everyone that Trump is so lazy he never actually did anything he said he’d do in 2016, so won’t do anything he promises now. Then add that he never takes responsibility for anything anyway, so the failures he absolutely has a considerable role in are always someone else’s fault. Then finish by reminding people how gullible he is, hence all the snakes who flock to his side.

Agree with all that, but would probably be helpful to come up with some meaningful policies that would actually benefit American society from bottom to top. An actual positive message of "why you should vote for us", not just "why you should vote against them".

Fanciful, I know.

Very much agree with that. The memory of the 2016 fuck up is clearly there in the Dems and the Harris campaign, but they just don't seen to have the instincts to shake it off. They can't quite accept that they and the whole neoliberal establishment - red and blue - are the people who created an opportunity for the likes of Trump.

And especially agree with this, though with a greater focus on working class voters rather than from the bottom to the top.

I suppose you can't not have a pop at Trump for his fascist instincts and certainly for the further evidence of his rapey ways. But there's got to be some sense that the Dems are going to create something new for lives that have become increasingly shitty and precarious. The real problem is they can't push this message because they are not really planning to create that better society.

I don’t know where to put this. It’s not really about the election itself, it’s about Trump and the cult.
It’s so bizarre that it’s beyond parody.

At the Turning Point event, Tucker Carlson introduces Trump with a spiel asking what happens if you’ve been naughty? Daddy comes home and spanks you. And he’s talking about Trump.

The hall erupts into chants of “ Daddy’s Home” when Trump appears.

The short is the main gist of Carlson’s bit. It’s disturbingly fetishist in nature. Not kink shaming, but grandstanding the “you’re a naughty girl and you’re gonna get spanked” as a way to aggrandise Trump is just all kinds of wrong.

The longer video is the whole story, with some chit chat. Also some bullshit about weak men, strong men.
