Flitting in & out like Tinkerbell on Meth
It’s a friendly game against unknown opponents. Given that the Women’s FA Cup final was sold out long ago, any players would already have tickets. And as for a day out, the Women’s Cup final as more than just a day out it’s a celebration of how far women’s football has come. It’s a celebration of how open and welcoming the game is. Last year I found myself sharing a table and several anecdotes (not all football related!) with a number of West Ham players, as well as soon juicy gossip. Couldn’t imagine that happening at the men’s cup final.I don't want to go out on a limb, but I'd imagine most of our players are more motivated by the prospect of playing in a side winning promotion than a day out at Wembley tbh.
