I have microphone head but promised my other half I wouldn't shave it all off again and grow it out, except it was messy round ears with hair growing over so I decided to try and fade in from grade 1 to 2 then the approx 4 it is on top at moment. Looks easy when barbers do it. Fucked it so I have two very clear lines round circumference of my head now. Fuck it.
I started trying to cut mine in, but have given it up. Gonna try growing it instead now.

If you have thick hair, be wary of non-studio clippers - i once overheated some cos the blades couldn't take it. I was young then though and had a much thicker head of hair. but it was enough to put me off doing it myself permanenly - just go wild or be prepared to look like a Bedlam inmate

Looking at hair clippers online with a view to buying some I have found that a No 2 which I have normally isn't necessarily 2mm hair length. It seems a No 2 might be 1/4 inch .. The clippers I am looking at don't seem to have a No 2 setting, rather I have to work out the setting in mm and then adjust both the blade height and comb used. grr
As existentialist says, Wahl are the best. That said, I've got some cheaper ones and they cope okay, but then I am pretty thin on top these days...

Incidentally, I note that they do appear to have plenty of items on their own website.
That way, you get a decent pair of clippers AND fail to prop up an exploitative scumsucking megacorp that treats all its people like shit. Win/win.

I got this Braun set Braun MGK3245 Beard Trimmer & Hair Clipper Grooming Kit which I'm very pleased with. It dealt with my unruly mop effortlessly, and it'll pay for itself in like 5 months.

No photos for you, but I've had no haircut since the start of December 
I never go more than twice or at most thrice a year anyway, mostly to a Turkish chap called Atilla who barely talks
But by now, with his shop and all 100 other barber places in Swansea** closed, my fringe has been dropping so much into my eyes
that festivaldeb insisted on trimming me today -- just the fringe!
TBF she's no hairdresser, but she did a good quick and basic job
**Not that much of an exaggeration-- so many new ones have opened recently, and in normal times they always seem to be full -- do straights (man!
) get their cut once a week or something?

Hes the absolute spit of my nephew, who even has the same hair as the "before" picture. To the point that when i first saw this post I thought "why the fuck is there a picture of our Joe on urban?"
