Can anyone confirm whether or not Braun clippers are worth it, if I can't get Wahl?

They'll be fine I'm sure. Everybody goes on about how good wahl are but I've had ones that have packed in after a year or so (the battery packs in - I use hair trimmers to shave my face so use them every few days), as long as its not some no make jobbies they'll be fine

Cheers folks. I don't want to spend a fortune on top of the range jobs, as it's possible the barbers could open up in the not too distant future. I prefer cut short on top, rather than shaved, but needs must currently.

my hair is beginning to annoy me, so thinking of shaving it all off. Wary of disaster though. Anyone got any tips?
Only have a beard trimmer. Would it be foolish if I used that?
I shaved it once with razors when I was 16 and it looked horrible- cuts all over!

I used to wash daily, but since being locked down, it's every other day. New style...mrs tag would hate it though, lots of little plats is now doable.

(not me. Pondering a mo hawk, but probably won't

I decided I could use a Braun hair and beard trimmer. It is available from shavers for £45.00 but from Argus for £25.00 (exact same item) .. now I am annoyed at Argos's delivery / collect regime. It isn't in stock at my local one where I could collect, it is available in an Argos further away, but they won't ship it, as I am too far away apparently. Grr ..

Bloody hell weltweit, you've been dithering about which clippers to order for over a month now.

If this goes on much longer you won't need clippers, you'll need a hedge cutter.
ha ha yes I am approaching hedge cutter stage atm :)
Decided to ramp up the search but buggered if I am going to pay £45 for something that costs £25 elsewhere!

Yeah, I tried Argos too. I'd have had to have made a 120-mile round trip journey to pick them up. Nah, thanks anyway.

What did you do in the end?

Went with shavers, and paid the extra for the quick delivery. I ordered on the Thursday evening before the Easter weekend, and it was delivered on the Wednesday morning. Can't complain about that, tbh

Judging by the price you mention, it's the same set as you are after. I've never had a set before, but I've been well impressed with this.

I may do that, I paid something like £45 for a Braun Shaver from Argos a year ago, so I have paid that sort of money for this sort of thing. Will ponder on it .. it would be nice to be able to get a trim next week ..

Good to hear.

Are the adjustable height combs easy to use?
I want to do a No 2 cut which might be about a quarter of an inch length ..

weltweit Oh, one thing to bear in mind: The power connector is one of the two-prong shaver kind. You'll need an adaptor if you don't have a shaver outlet in the house.
