Cutting my boys' hair is probably my favourite thing that happened from the whole situation. Fresh trims today!

Hair has now been grown for 9 months, seems only fair to leave it for a year now if I can survive the rest of the heat this summer. Alice band is doing the job of keeping the fringe out of my eyes.

Disappointingly not that long at the back but it’s grown from a 4 on top and 2 on back and sides.

Still haven’t mastered how to trim with clippers, so it always ends up being shaved cos I can’t maintain an even length and even then I keep finding stray clumps. Last time I did it I got a few concerned messages from friends asking if I was ok. Maybe they thought I was having a full Britney or that I’d got ill.
My niece assured me I don’t look scary, in fact she was laughing at the very suggestion. Apparently I’m ‘too silly’ to ever be scary. I’m fine with that!

I don’t like how it looks and it’s not ideal in winter. but I do like rubbing my head when it’s stubbly. It’s like stroking a dog, in lieu of a real pooch

Not this time, but the last time, I got a couple of messages and one of my cousins messaged my Dad out of concern! Felt a bit bad about it cos they were going through treatment for breast cancer (successfully though, fingers crossed).
So now I feel like I have to issue a caveat - I’M FINE! I DON’T HAVE CANCER OR AIDS NOR HAVE I HAD A BREAKDOWN - if I post a pic online, especially this one, after the week I’ve had.
