I've got a sneaking regard for Ernst Busch, the official 'liar' for East Germany - is this classical?
Yeah the term Classical only really applies to a very short era in orchestral music. Most of what's recommended on this thread isn't strictly "classical". Which is why I said "for want of a better term" further up the thread. But, yeah, Busch counts.

Do you like Copeland?

FFS - all I want is some education in classical music...you nerks have to end up arguing about makhno's pants and that.

by classical i mean fiddles and cellos and trombones and that.

wanna know some wolfe tones just ask - diff thread tho

:D Petit bourgeoise? I don't hold that in the disdain you seem to.

But it doesn't describe me.

Well, there's the ting. Classical music ended with Beethoven. After that you're into "Modern" (Wagner etc).

Fanfare For The Common Man. You'll gave heard it, it's played all over. He was an American socialist, but his work has been appropriated by others.

I only mention him because he reminds me of Bosch.

Yep, know it very well - mainly from sport stuff (which you'll not like).

Got Busch and his stalinst shit playing now - and i think it's great..

despite the thick veneer, bloated caricature & political shadow-boxing you are from the petit-bourgesoise. And despite the education, job & ever fragrant.. it's something you can't quite manage to lose. Just a thought like.
