What kind of tomato sauce?
Sounds rank tbh.
Almost as bad as 'french bread pizza' with tomato purée and cheddar

They're lovely, honest. I use puree rather than ketchup and sometimes salsa.

We haven't got a grill at work but sometimes I toast a pitta, fill it with cheese, microwave it and then put some salsa in it. Gorgeous.

I have to say that the British obsession with potato products is a bit OTT. Like L&C, crisp sandwiches, pie and mash. It's not that it tastes terrible, it's just a bit off-brand. /scarpers

I made a pie and mash pie on Sunday. Shortcrust pastry base, filled with chunky chicken and mushroom filling, topped with mash. Sounds like all sorts of wrong, but it was LUSH.

It's alright, but I fail to see its massive attraction.
People spend over £10 on these things and all they are is cheese on toast.
Madness!

That's what my dad used to say "all they are is cheese on toast", which meant all we got was his shitty homemade pizza that was like a bread trough filled with sweetcorn, big nasty chunks of tuna and half cooked plum tomatoes. :(

And and and a THICK skice of crusty white to mop up the plate after a dinner of shepherd's pie, peas and gravy
