Burger Thread. Yes!

I'm down with burger sauce/ relish. I like sauces on stuff in general (I believe Yets is also a fan)

Sauces, and indeed all condiments are highly important...
I take no shame in arranging an array of sauces between the meal and I, each mouthful glancing a unique proportion of each as it passes from plate to face.

Chips for example are merely vessels for condiments, a virgin chip, is like a piece of A4 paper. Pointless until you put something on it. But when you do amazing things can happen. Go sauces I say.

I've never eaten, nor known anyone who's eaten the fillet o fish. you're a rare breed, commie.

I was vegetarian for 6 years and as far as burgers go, apart from dry vegeburgers my only fix was McDonald's FishMcFillet which I used to really enjoy. I remember having one a couple of years back, to try and rekindle the lost love from my youth that had waned since turning carni, as, well, after 6 years being vegetarian your not exactly going to be eating fishburgers for a bit are you?! And erm yeah, it was absolutely fucking shit. So that totally reaffirmed my decision that eating meat is definitely better than not eating meat, ESPECIALLY where burgers are concerned.

Moroccan Lamb Sliders is today's special. Spiced lamb patties topped with slow roast 'pulled' lamb in a spicy tomato sauce, harrissa, lettuce and tomato. Chilli & lime couscous, cucumber raita and sun dried tomato & coriander ketchup.

Let me kick off the weekends burger shenanigans with this:

No bread because of reasons.
From the ground up - Salad and mayo 2 moist home made beef patties, mozzarella, spicy chipotle sauce & roasted capsicum.
Sweet potato chips with spicy barbecue sauce on the side.

It looked like this for about 4 seconds. By the time I had filled my beer it had collapsed.
Tasted fantastic.

that flavour I'm on about exists throughout the maccy dees range. Even the fillet o fish has that crack-like tang

The thing about a fillet o fish is this. Would you go anywhere else and ask for fish? No you'd ask for cod or whiting, or mackerel etc...

Ordering a MaccyD fillet of fish is like ordering the Mc Mammal.

I wonder if they could have formed the cous cous into little blocks/strips as chip replacements, Im not sold on a burger with couscous.

That burger is excellent by the way badseed. I had a failburger last night. Had to make it sitting down cos of pain issues so it was hastily thrown together and looked and tasted nowhere near as good as it should have.

thats porno-tastic

I was so hungry I went for a Burger King today. Ordered a 'steak burger' which was basically a whopper with bacon and without pickle or onion. Much better WITH I must say. The patty seemed a bit dry buy the cheese was perfect and the bacon bits were nice and crispy. The lettuce could have been more shredded, and the beef tomatoes were reasonably good quality. This was served with bbq sauce and mayo, which worked well. The crinkle fries were a massive disappointment (I was hoping they would be of the Southern fried variety but they were just like big, tasteless regular chips). The milkshake was good (vanilla).

Just noticed that Aldi now do brioche buns, will have to have a stab at a contribution here...

Stuff a double Big Mac. I want a double quarter pounder.

Actually I don't. Recent excesses have shown on the scales and I need to learn to make friends with salad. :(

what. The. fuck.

The humble chip is more than ketchup scoop or a vinegar mop. Chips. You are doing them a did service
