Burger Thread. Yes!

I'm going for my burger of the week review visit shortly - this week it's pork & cider with blue cheese, which sounds interesting. Report back in an hour or so (I haven't forgotten you, Burger Lad - I'll get something over in the next week or so)

Look forward to it. Thank you!

full review is going to have to wait until the evening as I'm waiting for some details from the chef. Wasn't totally sold on the veg crisps, but the burger was a triumph.

In the meantime...

Had a 'Spoons today - Burger with extra chicken breast, bit of a salad and a Tennessee Jack Daniels Honey glaze/sauce - not conventional by any means but the honey did shine through

All in all, not a bad burger at all - and still had room for ice cream, pancakes and maple flavoured syrup

I love spoons burgers. Less than a price of a BK at a travel hub, good meat and comes with a pint. What's not to love? I've mentioned it before on this thread, but think it bears repeating. On the menu you can get double up for just a quid. What they don't tell you is you can go triple for any quid more for proper epic feeds.

Big fan here too. The Gourmet Chicken one is ace, though it always falls apart. I tend to ask for the beef burger, but instead of blue cheese sauce I go for the montery jack cheese sauce. Bloody lovely it is.

3 barbecues in a week has left me a little bit burgered out. I have four burgers left that I need to cook and eat tonight.

It's a hard life innit.

I don't rate a 'spoons burger. All the ones in these parts tend to a certain dryness of burger and a preposterouse amount of salad and etc

As keen burgerfans will have noticed, I run a spartan ship when it comes to the burger. It's juicy but fair.

I have found burgers in the fridge - sans outer packaging - no way of telling if they're in date or not.

They definitely smell kind of funny, but it's actually quite a nice smell - almost barbeque-ey.

What do I do O burger thread? Eat them?

will I die? :hmm:

What does mince normally smell like when it's off though? Just to be sure.. I'm not doubting the wisdom of urban or anything
