Burger Thread. Yes!

I think i may have...if i see anything wild boar on a menu i usually order it, but i prefer wild boar in a stew or ragu with papperdelle (preferably with loads of red wine to guzzle too....)

dear burger thread: what is the most you have spent on a burger meal and was it worth the price?

I had that 7 quid cheesburger a few weeks back, quite steep given I normally do burgervans or maccy d's. But you could taste where your money went, it was a fair price given size and etc

£14 for a cheeseburger. It was shit, too.

I think the most I've paid was 14 quid. It was nice, and I didn't baulk at paying it - seems about standard for a meal out these days, and if the ingredients are quality I don't see why a burger should be a cheap meal.

This can piss off too.

Chilli con carne on a burger

Technically that's a sloppy joe.

Had a home made type burger with the usual toppings, beef tomato, onion, slice of cheese (emmental ), and chunky twice fried chips plus mushy peas at a very fancy hotel once. I was coming home from a stint in hospital and was treated to lunch. Could have had anything but picked the burger :D
It was priced at €18!!!!!
But it was very very nice..;)

Probably about £14 but I remember thinking that it was just shit compared to Honest Burgers which are a so jake price and my burger benchmark
What pisses me off though is that I'm always paying for two so I end up spending stupid money on shitty burgers

Liking your work there  Can you provide a full rundown of construction and specs please

Not a problem sir.

Lean mince patty, ground with a few finely diced onions, salt and pepper. Served in a maize topped bun, lightly toasted on the inside. Liberal smattering of mayo on the bottom part of the bun, with freshly cracked black pepper. Shredded iceberg, two slices of fresh vine tomato (none of this tasteless hard tomato business round here I'll have you know), the patty, with a thin slice of mature cheddar gently grilled onto it to get it nice and melty, a slice of thick smoked bacon, folded over to fit atop the patty, and plenty of lightly fried red onions added with a generous drizzle of Hot'n'Tangy Barbeque sauce before the bun top added.

I also did a chicken version, however this was prone to falling apart due to being quite a heighty bugger, and required a toothpick in to hold it together.

All in all a good BBQ cheese/bacon standard. The lettuce/tomato was probably surplus to requirement but I feel healthier with them in there :D

nope :( I had curry. Where do you stand on curry sauce on a burger? seen as you lot will defile them with pretty much anything...
I rememberbeing disgusted and perplexed teh first time I saw somebody ask for curry sauce on their chips (this was in Ireland as well so curry sauce was a proper foreign delicacy)
