Burger Thread. Yes!

More fried chicken. That place is dangerous and more importantly their burgers are huge, and the meat is of good quality.

Was also an an epic barbecue this weekend. I swear my trousers felt tight this morning!

I dont think burgerlad is a spammer it's just I imagine that the burger he created in the McDonalds kitchen will be unrecognisable from the dreck they sell in their shops.

Excellent work mate. I saw the competition on the website and there were a lot of great ideas on there (though with Mc'D's crap 200-different cow in each patty I'm not sure how good the final result will turn out).

What's your burger then? Or is it a closely guarded secret? :hmm: :)

It's no secret - it was on my website and available to see on the McDonald's My Burger website.

More burgers today! Have written on my hand 'Add gherkin' - plus its a beautiful sunny day here in Dublin. Might go to the beach later

Surprisingly good...cheeseburger same as yesterday but with more fried onions and lots of chopped gherkins - the bun looks a bit stiff but it was lovely and lightly toasted. Crunchy iceberg lettuce and juicy, vipe ripened tomatoes. Served with potato salad on the side (with mayo and scallions)

Great website, with an excellent review of the Shake Shack experience...:cool:I felt i was there, apart from the rumbling in my tummy I'm now experiencing and itching craving for a burger!

Thanks for the review, (and glad you included the chips). I look forward to taking a really good tour of the site very soon, good work

Thank you very much! We're working on a new logo and eventually an overhaul of the site but the content will remain the same. Always looking for contributors if you are interested.

Unfortunately I have no photo, just an amusing anecdote. My mum was over last weekend and on Friday I had a meeting to attend, and my mum grabbed a beer on the harbour side for an hour until I came and got her. We decided to grab a bite to eat. Walked past a new burger joint, hot buns. Sounds ok we decided, looked like good food with decent prices. We go in the and are seated, we give our order and wait. it then dawns on me, that all the waitresses are wearing short hot pants and low cut tops and are very attractive and flirtatious.

So yeah, I basically took my mum to the Danish version of hooters.

Yeah yeah yeah, but how was the burger? :hmm:

We're with my Dad today. Burgers for Lunch. But giving serious thought to salads. Thinking a Chickpea avocado and coriander salad, a garden salad, some potato salad and some coleslaw.

I forget.

That bad? Or was a Scandinavian Hooters as awesome as it sounds?

Or was the fact that you were at a Scandinavian hooters with your mum as awkward as it sounds? If it was me, I'd have gouged out my eyes early on to avoid awkwardness.

Well I enjoyed it. And I remarked to mother how awfully nice and pleasant the waitresses were. I left a tip.

So.

Bun. Lidl Cheese and Onion Ciabatta. Nom, and only 99c for 3.

Melted elemental.

My condiments; onion chutney, American mustard, ketchup, red onion, gerkin, mixed leaves.

Burger. Very posh. Butchers in Mount Merrion near my parents. 2.95e per patty! The pattys were fantastic but too thick, and took a age a cook, much prefer a thinner patty, but the meat was just perfect.

Served with coleslaw, potato salad (both Lidl), mixed leaves, and chick pea salad.

Sounds totally divine but agree on the patties - dont like em too thick. Typical Southside posho bastards!;)
