Burger Thread. Yes!

Agree to disagree 8den....and there's nothing wrong with fresh, shredded iceberg lettuce anyway. It's perfect on a burger, I dont get your beef with it....

iceberg's fine on a burger.
never tomato though. ever.

e2a no to gherkins as well.

I would have:

Ketchup or tomato relish of some kind, gherkins, fried onions, mustard (american or grainy). cheese should be something melty - gruyere, emmental or suchlike. Does it need anything else? I don't think so, although I'm always willing to experiment.
I'd swap the gherkins (EEEEWWWW!!!) for thinly sliced toms, but the rest is bang on.

Possibly with bacon

Where do people stand on an onion ring or two in the burger?

I occasionally put them in the bottom.

I've had onion ringss in a burger. Burger King used to do one. Maybe they still do, I wouldn't know because I'm anti-royalist and boycotting them.

i didn't like it really but would be willing to try again with a different burger houses product

They did a rodeo burger. Unfortunately further ruined by the horrible american style BBQ sauce.

Some proper difference of opinion here, and how very open and accepting we are of each others ideas of what is right and wrong.... if only the communal, understanding character of this thread and honest, sharing qualities of the good, burger loving people who talk freely upon it could be carried across into greater society, then heck, call me bold for saying, but I think the world would be a much better place :)
