Burger Thread. Yes!

Yeah see. I just about had 20/20 but it was all Malibu and Coke or whatevs :vom: alcopops were a definite underage trap :hmm::thumbs: (((teens)))

20/20 and shit like that are sort of schnapps/mixers. The PPS market is a swindle, but they had to brand expensively after the great two dogs/hooch moral outrage caused by you lot.

Anyone seen that the McRib is being tested in parts of Sheffield and has also been spotted in Derbyshire? Proof is on my website.

***Edit - only Sheffield. ***

I'm off up that way in a few weeks.. I will try and find one and post here

It's only in Sheffield not Derbyshire as I thought.

Available in 6 stores only, for 2 weeks and I believe already been out for 5 days.

Testing for operational purposes with a view to bringing it back as a promotional item. There's a few photos of it and advertising on my site.

I'm driving northward on Thursday... It might be worth the diversion. The McRib has had a lot of hype.

I had a pulled pork burger today. It was quite good, I had never had one before. It came with chips of course and onion rings. There was
barbecue sauce with it. It was in a Wetherspoons so was quite cheap and included a drink. I will do that again.

For the price of tesco slow cooker, a shoulder of ham, some ingredients you could have the ability to make many pulled pork sandwiches

I already have a.slow cooker without troubling Tesco. I often make my own burgers from minced beef but won’t get involved with pulled pork.

the main point in having a slow cooker is pulled pork. everything else is secondary.

only ever use mine for proper chunky veg and tato and chicken. Farmfoods chicken thighs are in no way edible or meaty enough for use as anything other than a stewing meat

had tea at the clog & billycock (one of Nigel Haworth's pubs) and - mindful of this thread - ordered a burger.

as well as the patty, the burger featured: Iceberg Lettuce, Beef Tomato, Pickled Cucumber, Crispy Onions, Spicy Tomato Relish, Bomber Lancashire Cheese, Blackberry Farm Streaky Bacon, Piccalilli, Chilli Pickle, Mustard Mayonnaise, Real Chips cooked in Dripping.

It was a knife and fork job and therefore a failure as a burger. But, it tasted fucking good.

How much? I am guessing around £13 ish?

Not a fan of picalilli, strange to see it with a burger, but loving the combo of sauces and relishes etc. Bit over pickly maybe, but if thats your 'hing then thats your 'hing. Reminds me of the Branston burger - too pickly. There's a fine line with pickles on a burger for me, too much vinegar kills the more subtle flavours.

Burger looks a bit too stack-y for me but mmmmmm just the look of them chips has me drooling. Scratch the rest I'll just have 2 mini buckets / cast iron casseroles of those, please.
