Burger Thread. Yes!

Purely in the interest of this thread I visited the hawksmoor (seven dials), and oh my:

Disclaimer: not my pic (I've been a bit lazy recently), but what I had looked just like the one on the right. Except my chips where thinner and more chip like, unlike what ever those things are.

On the left you have a Kimchi Burger (kimchi with beef short-rib in a cheeseburger). On the right you have a Hawksmoor Hamburger (Longhorn beef with bits of bone marrow)

Don’t ask about the cost

Oh wow. That burger looks lovely. NOt sure about the bone marrow though, I'm afraid to say that I have a chidish squeamishness about marrow and offal..
I like my burgers meaty not marrowy

The Filet o Fish question made me think of this...

Must watch!

What really pisses me off about that guy, is he eats 5000 calorie pizza kebab burger lasagna in a fucking cake or whatever, and he doesn't get fatter, his beard just gets bigger

The more he eats, the bigger the beard. Belly doesn't change. What a bastard

not my photo, never been but this has brought the rage.

Not just a smear, not just served on a chopping board. It's the unholy trinity of smear, board and chips in an enamelled tin cup

a very good burger apparently.

I paid £9.50 for a burger the other day and it was about as good as it gets. This was in a 'nice' place in central bath. I can't see how it could cost any more (their steak was 19.50 for comparison).

please do. If they're going to obsess over big macs, I reckon you can tell us about your halloumi burgers too...

Can't believe people obsess over big macs - there filthy, and not in a good way!

These hallumi burgers were served with rocket and tzatziki.

When working from home I went through a phase of having hallumni, sweet chilli and mustard with fresh mint if I had any. If not some sliced tomato in that bundle worked a treat!

how were the burgers formed fred? was it just a few strips of haloumi, or was there more too it than that?

When I do them for myself I cut a block into 3 bits so you have a big slab.

For the fete I sliced them along the length and fried four pieces in a frying pan which was on a ring of the BBQ - it was gas.

You can buy frozen food from fast food places in the States. Does well there. Can't think of one reason why a frozen BigMac would be any different to the one made at McDonalds. Take 'em out the box, microwave on full for 2 mins and there you go, McDonalds at home. It could work, McDonalds have the money and the brain power to make it work..

I honestly dont think that this ^ could work, having worked in MacDonalds I can say that the food is made on the spot. The buns are toasted, and they don't use microwaves for anything. BK does though.

I know it's not an official McDonald's service. I can't see them ever offering delivery when their profits are so huge. They don't need the hassle of delivery costs, cars, time taken to deliver etc.

The drive thru is their 'version' of a delivery service. I wouldnt mind that Liverpool delivery service in Dublin though...
