Burger Thread. Yes!

I had a burger today. From Burger Kind :( The best bit about it was teh peculiar amalgamation of may and ketchup with the salad. I feel dirty. The bad kind of dirty.
I look forward to Friday when I plan to have a proper burger.

I had a BK burger for the first time in years a while back. I thought it might be OK in a dirty, guilty pleasure sort of way. It was fucking horrible. Really properly unpleasant.:(

So I went to BK the other day for a bacon cheese whopper. It was crap - why do I do this too myself? So I rectified the situation with a trip back to Honest (3rd time now) for their Bacon Tribute Burger. It was lovely - mustard, bacon, red onion, gherkins and cheese. The best yet from Honest Burgers.

Not eaten yet today...could murder a decent burger or two :(, someone come prepare me a burger fit for the BK himself?

Whoa. Nearly had another burger then. Was gonna do a bacon double cheese BBQ number then it hit me.... I eat far too much shite... :hmm:

Another burger laden with bacon and cheese would not be very artery friendly. So I'm going for a nice healthy BLT instead. I'll save the burger for next week. Nearly fell into full blown addiction then. Careful out there people, it only takes one.

That first burger (and chips) look absolutely tremendous Yets!!!:D

The second burger (of the US variety) is dressed with 'curried sour cream' I think - American joint the Elephant & Castle in Dublin (which i aint tried yet but on my list) does a similar one

Man. I've just had an amazing burger from a van on the Southbank. It's not your average food van, it's a poncey food van which does REALLY good burgers (http://bleeckerburger.co.uk) Burger man is pretty fit too

Good bun, not too doughy but possibly needs to be a bit thicker to soak up the sauce and running juices.. It was awesome. I am looking forward to trying their blue cheese burger next. Good meat, not quite as good quality as Honest's (thats my burger benchmark and I'm doggedly loyal in my praise of Honest burgers), really really nice chips and reasonable (London) prices.
Taking the (close) second place in my burger hall of greed

fogbat This is relevant to your interests; I have a feeling you're gonna like them

Yeah I had one from there a while ago - it was good, I had the double as I recall. Pricey though mind.
I don't think it's that pricey: £5.50 for cheeseburger, £3 for chips(yeah, I was surpsided by the price of the chips but it is pretty big portion and they are nice), so £8.50, comparable to Honest, GBK, Byron et al. They were selling a double cheeseburger and chips for £10 whic seems fairly reasonable to me, espeicaly given the fact that I recently had an inferior burger and chips in the BFI Restaurant for about £15.
