A huge multi arena, high energy and interactive show celebrating the official half way point between our annual summer fairs.

hot off the press - Boom news !!!

We are celebrating this years Equinox on Friday 22nd March and it is to be held at the mighty Motion complex in Bristol.

Our good friends at the mighty Motion complex have given us the go ahead to host the indoor festival and have opened the doors to 2 new buildings on top of the existing multi room structire plus an entire courtyard for a one off adventure playground.

This event will capture the introduction of Chinatown, a new area being incorporated for the 2013 festival and dedicated to Far East culture. We will transform the whole complex into a wonder world of creativity, enhancing the mock town signature you all know so well now.

I've got my ticket, but no-one to go with right now, so would be up for any sort of urban meetup there may or may not be. Otherwise I'll just wobble my legs in a corner by myself.

saw that too after
also that the first train on a Sat back to Cardiff seems to be about 6am ish so :hmm:
just under £20 return which is still a lot

I remember it being about £20 for me when I got the train from bristol to redhill

ticket booked.

if the trains expensive ill drive.

Is there anywhere id likely be able to park a campervan to sleep in in bristol and not get disturbed? Or shall i just go travelodge?

Bad news about the Travelodges and so forth being so pricey already, will have to think about other options ...

I wouldnt say £28 is pricey tbh....

its th train tickets that are a rip off, £48 each way...... annoyingly if i go traveldoge route Ill have to pay £15 for my car

I want to book my hotel, £28 for a double room, its the same price for 2 people sharing. at the moment I'm going on my own, but everyone will be non-committal until I say im defo going.

If I book a room, and then have 2 people instead of one staying in it, that wouldnt cause a problem would it?

Application in.

Not holding my breath, but you never know

(stuck a job one in too).

For the actual festival in august, not just the equinox party, does anyone know what ID checks will be like at the entrance? It'll be my first year at boomtown and while my group will all be 18 at the time, we really don't want to take passports etc in case of theft...on the website it seems pretty strict but is that actually put into practice?

last year, got in with just a ticket, then i left on and lost my re-entry ticket , went to the kiosk , just had to prove the name on the ticket and postcode ( ticket wanst bought in my name obv :) )

let me in no probs :)

we can make a village and we can be neighbours!
