Boomtown 2012

Official Arcadia landing 2012 video link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViY1NF7svS0

Strange scenes have been unfolding during this sleepy winter in BoomTown. A monstrous mechanical beast known as Arcadia Spectacular has crash-landed and seized a whole area of downtown BoomTown! With Glastonbury festival taking a year off this is an exclusive one off festival show this summer; BoomTown will feature the one and only incredible new Arcadia Spectacular; a fusion of post apocalyptic huge moving sculptures, pyrotechnics, light and laser extravaganzas, aerial trapeze shows and a gargantuan Soundsystem. The Arcadia Spectacular is an epic, mind bending, assault on the senses that must be approached with caution, the fainthearted have been warned!

9th - 12th August
Matterly Estate - Winchester - UK

Haha, I'm sure mayoral people don't get involved with the day to day running of their towns! I really hope he was the guy dressed as the mayor last year!

liking that line up and the full arcadia show news

is there a difference between 'tiers' ticket wise?? (apart from the price obviously)
going to try and go if funds allow

I have a friend involved in this but can somebody here tell me why it's so good and I shouldn't miss it?

Bah, they're doing their stewarding through oxfam this year, at the current cost of a ticket the hourly rate you're working for on an oxfam shift pattern (3 X 8.25 hour shifts) works out at £4.60 ish...... its not even minimum wage.....

So went to buy a ticket and camper passes are £44.....

Theyre busting my balls!

Chris and Dave? :D
Just hope they play a stage with more ventilation this time. The Body Shop was like a sauna last time. Dangerously hot imo.

Agreed, watched bong RA the dolphin vs autopsy in there and nearly died :(

Right I can either sign up to steward on thursday, but I also have enough money now to buy a ticket..... Does anyone know if the shitters in the campervan field get as nasty as the ones in the tent fields? The ones in the camping field were pretty much unusable by saturday last year :(

Working doesnt guarantee I can take my camper, paying does, but costs me monies :(

24 hours working seems a lot for a ticket that only costs £120 ish.......... help me decide urbs!

They've said they're making lots of changes to address criticisms of last year's so there's no reliable answer to that question.
