Boomtown 2012

Tell me what to DO Urban- my normal wee camera is borked and I haven't sorted it yet- do I take my heavy DSLR or will that be a total bind and I'll only worry about it or sit on it or summat.

If I don't have photos of something, I have no fucking memories of it. Actually often not even then.

phone camera? i would try and avoid taking anything i wouldnt want lost/broked, dslr sounds like a pain in the behind especially if you like DANCIN!

there's gonna be too many of us for there to be any one urban camp, tbh.
maybe, but it'd definitely be good to have an urban base / campfire spot / space for urbs to camp who aren't there with other groups of mates.

I think I've got a bunch of mates and mates of mates from newcastle going, but they're mostly from the gabba head end of the spectrum, so it could all be a bit intense in the all night nitrus boshing and talking utter shite front for me these days... so an urban camping option would be great I reckon.

it would be good but there are obviously people who already know each other well and are mates irl in Brixton/London so presume they or some of them will be sticking together.
we've got 2 other urbs in our car and afaik may be camping with one or more others
obviously safety and japery in numbers would be good!

Yer, think you're right. My phone battery lasts about 2 hours, but I'm well shit at carrying anything heavy around

Anyone checked out the increasingly improved forecasts for the S, for this coming end of week/weekend? :)

Watch that metoerological space, but a fair bit of warm sunshine looks increasingly likely right now, after Wednesday ...

This will most likely apply to our staid and old fashioned excursion to N Oxfordshire from Thursday ;), as well as for the crazed partyheads of Hampshire .... :p

Anyone had any thoughts/suggestions for the who the "secret headliner" could be? My money's on Toots and the Maytals, since they're in the UK around this time (Beacons festival the weekend after), and the likes of Reel Big Fish headlining other nights a bit of old reggae would probs fit the gap.

As they are listed as playing anyway, that would suck as a surprise headliner
