By Public Transport

The nearest station is Winchester on the South Western Main Line. From Winchester you can take the X64 bus service provided by Stagecoach, which heads towards Alton. You will need to get off at will be the Percy Hobbs pub.

Shuttle bus service

Shuttle busses will be available from Winchester train station on Thursday 8th August & Monday 13th August. It costs £3 each way. The shuttle service will be in operation between 10:00 and 21:00 on Thursday, and between 08:00 and midday on Monday.

Taxi

Taxis will also be available from the train station through Wessex Cars. You may pre-book one by calling 01962 866 208 although there will be many ready and waiting at the station. BoomTown has negotiated an agreed rate of £12 from the train station to site. To get a taxi back to the train station please use the taxi pick up/drop off point located near the main car park.​

The last X64 buses depart the station at 1710 and 1810, so it looks like taxi for your wife.

oh dear , just read this and I was thinking of going there Friday

Gates open on Thursday 9th August at 12pm music to start in the later in the afternoon. Gates shut at 10pm with no entry after this time with no exceptions!!!

They just shut them at night, and you're only mean to bring in alcohol once.

AFAICS from the website once you have arrived once you are free to go back out to the car park as much as you want, but they are limiting the number of people allowed out in the carpark at once who have already been in, presumably to stop car park raves/epic carpark piss ups.

Pleased to see that the music starts on Thursday though.

I got there late on Friday afternoon last year and shared a cab with some people I met at Winchester Station so it was just £2 each (a tenner altogether).

Possibly, quite possibly I can squeeze another in - same deal as for Drew - you have to get to the M25 or near it somewhere between about Enfield and the M3, preferably Heathrow or something easy to find.

This is the impression I get. Of course there's nothing to stop you from getting ratted each car park trip so long as you can walk straight enough to get back in.
