What's the score re searching of people / bags / vehicles etc at the gate?

Don't be such a big baby, just don't bring more than you know you can stash It's hardly going to be a strip search, and from what I know of the organisers they won't hire any *really* shitty security firm as they are festival goers,, club promoters and ravers of much experience and know it's not nice to have really shitty security.

I've experienced police roadblocks 20 miles from a festival, with sniffer dogs and cunt pigs with attitude!!

I'm sure it'll all be groovy, and I won't be taking any chances anyway, but you know what plod can be like sometimes...

If you intend to bring alcohol to Boomtown then you will only be allowed to bring a reasonable quantity for personal consumption into the site.

You can bring up to 16 cans or a box of wine or 3 litres of cider/larger/ beer/wine (decanted into plastic bottles). Spirits are not allowed.

16 cans for 3 days & 4 nights... I guess that's what my doctor might consider reasonable.

You got an email from robot@theticketsellers.com when you bought the tickets. It has a four digit number, which is good for the coach and the festival. There's a link at the bottom of the email to get a password reminder.

If anyone fancies stewarding still they need people at greenstewards, it was meant to be 2 X 6.5 hour shifts, but they've upped it to 3 as not enough people have signed up...... but if they get enough people it will go back down to 2 shifts.

Did SGP with green stewards and realised I need the concept of volunteering for a charity or I can't be arsed. I was 1 1/2 hours late off shift twice. Its dishonest to say 18 hours when actually its 21 or more hours and nobody but GS is benefiting.

I have to say I've never had this happen to me, and I work for them a fair old bit.....

On the flip side, when they upped it to 3 shifts, I re-thought my working plan, but all my mates were gonna steward regardless so thought I'd stick at it....... They'll have to tread carefully though, A mass walkout of stewards would completely fuck the entire event if they start taking the piss with swapovers etc.
