Bjork's new album Vulnicura download

Re track 1, I could listen to her sing the word 'matters' on a loop for about a year

It's such a beautiful song. The hesitation in those opening syllables and the way it builds up to the emotional hammer-blow that comes at 1.54, which is where I guess you shed your first tear.

What does it feel like to be the ex listening to a break-up album written about you by Bjork? Could you possibly listen to this and not think you've made a mistake?

glad I wasn't the only one that cried listening Rebelda
It's powerful eh? Grabs you by the short and curlies, and not just lyrically. Some of it feels very familiar.

'Family was always our sacred mutual mission which you abandoned' eviscerates me, I have no idea what it must be like to be her ex and listen to it. Like a kick in the stomach I'd imagine.

Love this record now. Haven't listened to anything else since it came out.
I've listened to Debut once, and Black Messiah a couple of times, but mostly Vulnicura. The latter songs are growing on me more now; not that I didn't like them but the first four bowled me over so much I wasn't really getting the tracks after, iyswim. Notget and Atom Dance (and Family) are really growing on me. Give it another week and I'm sure I'll be able to hear Mouth Mantra and Quicksand too

My RL friend who I would normally talk to about this is being ultra moral and waiting until March to buy it in physical form. So you'll have to put up with me here :D I make him right though, Bjork is on a relatively small, independent label (One Little Indian) not some behemoth. Leaking it was properly cuntish.

exactly - if he's a big fan it's possible to download it AND buy a nice shiny copy when it's properlly released ennit.
and one little indian are far from the wee idealistic anarchist label they started out as - let's not feel too much worse for them than
any decent sized label...
