it's no-smoking in the bar until the end of the freshers' fair - so 2130 on friday.

nobody goes to house parties at 8pm.. midnight is the very earliest you should arrive, and more like 1:30am if your cool ;)
 
Fleh! I landed from South Africa at 6am this morning, so I won't be along tonight... shame!

Also landed to a desperate phone message from Birkbeck wondering where I was last week despite the fact I told them many times I'd miss the first week and that I wouldn't be able to respond to the offer letter until I was back. :rolleyes: Anyway, all cleared up now! :D
 
for newbie urban birks, i will be in the bar from 8-ish and am wearing a BERLIN t-shirt and combat pants.. come and say hi and i'll introduce to everyone else.

my real name is caspar in case you feel stupid about going up to people asking if they are a monkey ;)

Anyhow. I've started drinking already and work's become just that much harder to concentrate on......

I'll be along - probably around 8ish as I can't see myself staying here a helluva lot later than 7.

having just found the dregs of my birthday vodka in a bottle under my desk, i'm sorely tempted to join you.

Unfortunatly, I can't make it tonight. I would have really liked to come and finally meet some of the faces behind the handles.

Is there another Birkbeck meet soon?

Hmm, think I'll have a lie down in for a while, in which case I will be in search of something to do tonight other than sleeping and may join you around 8-ish, see how I feel when I come round!

Next club nights are: 21st Oct, 4th November, 18th November, 2nd Dec and poss 16th Dec (yes I know - that will involve some advanced "in two places at once"-ness!)

I may well toddle along to this - crashing the Freshers' Ball sounds a far better option than doing one of these part-time degrees. :) :) All the fun, and none of the work. :) :)
 
was great fun.. shame there wasn't a bigger audience for the live part.. but vic & helenmccookerybook were professional and as entertaining as ever.

as I was going out of the building to guide LDR in, one of the poets and her friend spilled out of the lift at high speed shrieking 'let's get out of this hell hole' :D

thanks be 2 ed & dub: really enjoyed the musical selection although i apologize for Christine's interference.. at times she's sort of like a female, boyband obsessed version of hollis :p

it was much to my surprise that the bouncer was so grumpy :(
but more so that dub's gunship diplomacy defused the situation.. :cool:
