I've got my first Birkbeck lecture tonight... in 2.5 short hours, in fact!
The mini-offline thing sounds good... hmm, will have to have a think. I'm not sure I can really afford it money or time wise, despite the booze being cheap and all, and plus I have a very exclusive 30th birthday party to go to the next night.
But it would be cool to see Dub DJ again, and to meet lots of Urbanite Birkbeckers... agh, dilemma!

Good luck. I had mine yesterday, though it wasn't a lecture but an induction. I assume it wil be the same for you as it's you first year too. Be warned if you are in Mallet Street though. Those seats in the lecture theatre are mighty comfy. Be careful not to nod off!
