Seems like they’ve seen sense and from 8/1/24 the prerecorded artist in residence hour is moving to 11pm and Riley / Coe moving forward into 9 to 11 instead of 10 to midnight.

The 'takeover' thing is partly a way of measuring audience reaction and seeing what flies in the face of a lot of scrutiny and competition from commercial radio. Radio 2 have largely fucked off a lot of their audience to greatest hits or others. 6 Music needs to be very careful it doesn't lose its core audience by making the same mistakes.

DJs SHOULD try hard. There’s no such thing as trying too hard. DJs should be showing us new music rather choosing from some tired old playlist
