American Stadium foods - phwoar or yeuch?

Most of that food has appeared on various Adam Richman shows. Mouthwatering but artery hardening.

I'll never forget his 72oz steak. i once had a 24 oz steak and it was a real struggle to finish it. The thought of eating a steak 3 times as big is unreal. iirc Adam Richman didn't complete that "challenge"

Some of its a bit fancy... Brie and apples and leek compote on a sandwich in a ball park?

I personally would love to try some of those sandwiches

Most of it looks delicious but having eaten stuff like that in the USA, I fear that what you actually get would be tasteless grease. IME American food promises so much but delivers so little.

Having said that, I would try all of them! :D

Actually like on purpose for real?! Or because you'd forgotten to buy the burger buns??

Good quality burgers - steak mince with salt, pepper and a little egg, about 9oz each - smoked (I.e. not directly over the coals) on a seriously hot bbq with hickory and whisky wood chips, lid closed. Served with maple bacon and cheddar on a halved Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut.

I almost found religion that day. Those burgers definitely pointed towards a higher power in this world.

This but the rest looks revolting.

Sounds horrible. Sugary dough with meat? Yeuch

It sounds too much, even for me. It's really, really not - the smokiness and juiciness of the burger balances out the sweetness and because the doughnut's soft it does a good job of holding it all together. Of course I'm remembering through a beer and bourbon filter, so might be talking rubbish...

The respect you show for the burger *almost* makes me throw my instincts to the wind and want to give it a try. Almost. For me, a burger, let alone with cheese and bacon, is indulgence enough. I'm feeling dirty just thinking of it with a doughnut.

Few or none of those could be easily eaten by hand without getting covered in gloop.

Always amuses me my local kebab place, they seem to expect you could eat it in your hands but really after they have piled on salad and garlic sauce, there is just no way ..

Yep, they're amazing.

American food is the best in the world
Not strictly true, as many have already posted, it can be very bland. The concepts though can be artery cloggingly great :)

That said a lot of food can be bland when mass produced, irrelevant of country.
