I assume that's terminal 1 and gate 08, on the basis I can't believe there's 108 gates at Dublin airport.

I know, that's why I said terminal 1 and gate 08, Gatwick only has 65 gates over 2 terminals, so logic tells me Dublin doesn't have 108 gates.

Yeah, the first number is not actually the terminal number, but relate to the piers.

The boarding gates of Terminal 1 can be found in Pier D (Gates 100), Pier A (Gates 200) and Pier B (Gates 300), the boarding gates of Terminal 2 are located in Pier E (Gates 400).

So, pier A is gates from 200, B is 300, D is 100 & E is 400, very logical.
