i must say tho editor you are making a big thing of it
Hardly. And compared to the endless inane shit you post up day after day, I'd say I'm barely registering an interest.

But I do enjoy rubbishing the idiotic methodology of conspiraloons, especially if I get to post up a picture of Charles Hawtrey.

Internet polls don't provide a random sample so are statistically dubious. That said, 10,000 fruitloops is a lot of fruitloops.
Assuming, of course, that all the votes are from individuals.

Thanks to the miracle of the internet, millions of nutters worldwide can connect with each other and consolidate their sad, weird little subculture. 10,000 is a drop in the bucket (and in any case, it's 9,915 :p).

Assuming that people aren't getting around the IP logging somehow, of course.

this whole fucking board is inane, get over yourself. its good, but its fucking inane shit for people at work to while away their day

course you enjoy rubbishing stupid theories cos it make you feel like your chit chat is better than everyone elses

i dont have a problem with that, just don't take it out on me when you feel insulted just like everyone else on here does

Once again you limeys have gotten off at the wrong stop. As every American knows, the only thing that trumps a Sheen is a Baldwin.

Fantastic advice editor, why don't you take it?
So, seeing as you place so much faith in self selecting online polls of the American public, do you believe in heaven and hell, God, miracles and the after life, then?

Or is it only some polls you believe in, and if so, why?

That's Chomksy's take on it as well.

Ohhhhhh Chomsky.....bring me your feet oh great Noam... I never thought I`d see the day when I agreed with charlie sheen over chomsky but post 9/11 Noam has SOLD OUT.....All this 4th most quoted man stuff has gone to his head.

I`ve always considered him a very poor orator as well.

Back on to Sheen speaking out, good on him. It takes guts when your villified by some as it is to come out and just speak the truth.
We should all ignore people like editor, they don`t know what they`re talking about. They have no responses except cheap jibes. They call it cognitive dissonance in Psychology.

Christ I can't believe we've had four pages of this conspiraloon bullshit...

Yea, we haven't really though have we. What we've had is about five posts, and (the usual) utterly disproportionate attempt to smash any conversation around the subject - generally resorting to desperate smear tactics that the republicans themselves would be proud of. "cocaine-addled, prostitute-chasing, rich-kid"?

Personally I'm not that interested in the theories per se - I am interested in the way that ideas like this propogate... and I must say that THE thing that draws attention most about this subject is the extent to which people are ridiculed for even mentioning it.

For what it's worth the word Conspiraloon itself rings a very sour note to my mind. It's a would-be gagging device. Ridiculing someone so no one will hear what they say. To be honest the "conspiraloons" haven't actually said very much on this thread - it's mostly been taken up with people attacking them.

Good point well made.

Anyone up for discussing what Sheen actually said?

Yeah! No point taking notice of any peer reviewed scientific studies, well respected experts, structural engineers, architects, academic researchers or well respected political commentators when you can buy into the ill-informed hunches of a totally unqualified Hollywood actor instead!

Way to go truth seekers!

Prision planet the people who think israel droped a nuke on iraq during the gulf war . .Though they do believe in the apollo landings so they
not completly mad .

That'll be because we've had literally thousands of similar evidence-free posts where the same handful of obsessed individuals make wild, fact-free claims, ignore any counter evidence and when their claims are exposed to be utter tosh they move swiftly on to the next one. And the cycle goes on and on ad infinitum.

We've had invisible experts posting on invisible boards, we've had invisible planes roaring over Long Island, FBI Mike Yarwoods, invisible planes, missiles and explosives and not a single, solitary shred of peer-reviewed, credible evidence has emerged in favour of the loonspud claims.

Any ridicule they get here is richly earned.

And perhaps you don't see it, but the very nature of conspiraloons is to try and propogate their outlandish memes far and wide and I'm not having their wild claims left unchallenged on a board as popular as this one.

Which of his 'hunches' do you find most 'outlandish'?
You could start with the one that it wasn't Flight 77 that hit the Pentagon.

But if you think that we're going to have this discussed here for the zillioneth time, you're very much mistaken.

Yeah and the ringleader runs the forum.....

See, this is what I don't get. If you don't like the way the site is run, why don't you go somewhere where your ideas are more popular? There's got to be hundreds of forums where you can babble conspiracy theories to your heart's content.

And is the editor not allowed to have opinions?

When did prisonplanet ever say Israel nuked Iraq?!

9/11 was an inside job by a criminal faction in the US govt coordinated by the security services. Once again the MIC and the elite fuck us all over and then blame someone else so they can act as our saviours, wage a neverending war and just stell us to shut up domestically. Its pointless denying whats staring you right in the bloody face.
All the evidence points to an inside job that can never be dismissed. The fact that afterwards the official storyline has also been ripped apart is a bonus.

Who gains for god sake.

To be fair it's a bit of overkill from editor here. Years of running into these conspiracy threads means that while jazzz et al are focused on the subject, ed pulls up everything they've ever posted on the subject - kind of ruining the entire thrust of the thread on the single issue. I'm no conspiraloon, or rather I don't especially care enough to be one, but that seems a tad out of turn.

Surely, if the thread is disliked so much it could have been binned and a PM could have been sent detailing the reasons?

e2a reply to trashy: but very little of it is opinion, it's the same thing that editor always posts on 911 threads except with a bit of character assassination thrown in this time, because the blokes famous

(although I have to draw attention to another former celebrity, Mr Icke ;))
