Really?

Personally i think it's pathetic. The likes of editor are deliberately trying to ruin a thread. I'd say it's probably against the faq. But editor can do what he wants. In bloom too should be ashamed of his contributions.

Funny this, jazzz has a great point, starts a great thread, and then editor just comes along and ruins it, along with any old posters who decide to add to the total inanity editor is contributing.

Editor bangs on about how conspiracy theories will ruin his website. I'd say the ridiculous, puerile, inane bullshit as posted by him on this thread along with others who wish to play the same game will ruin his political forums.

What's left to ruin that is. They're not a fucking patch on two years ago.

I liked Jazzz’s use of the words “massive and “tipping point”.

Anyway didn’t Team America take the piss out of something like this, only better.

Fela fan thre is a world of difference between questioning something and weighing up evidence for and against a particular theory and parroting unprovable bollocks. What some posters on here are doing is filling the boards with totally unprovable bollocks about remote control planes on 911, 'dangerous' vaccines, tsunami;s being caused by a secret US weapon etc etc etc. This sort of stuff doesn't contribute to exposing the wrongdoings of politicians and corporations but acts as a convenient smokescreen for their actions. If all alternative sources of information and debate are drowned in the detritus of places like PrisonPlanet or Rense or Joe Vialis et al then it is far far more difficult to take alternative sources as seriously as they deserve.

But if a fucking Hollywood actor's the best he can do, you can expect more Hildas to appear because her opinion on 9/11 is every bit as valid - and as irrelevant - to the 'truth' about 9/11 as ol' Charlie boys.

Are you pretending to be stupid? Hilda fucking ogden is known to no americans. She is not famous to them. Sheen is. They will listen to him, but not to your stupid pathetic british soap actor.

And what about CNN eh?? Is that mainstream media to you? What about their poll? Or does that get a bit too uncomfortable for you?

This is a new thread. Show me where anyone's done that on this thread please mate.

Furthermore, this thread IS a continuation of the pathetic thread-spoiling tactics that the likes of editor come in to dish out whenever the numbers 911 are posted up. These threads never get a fucking chance due to this spoiling tactic.

Have you had a sense of humour bypass or something you miserable sod. Can you not see why other posters may actually find the OP even just faintly amusing?

I liked Jazzz’s follow up post using the words “massive” and “tipping point”. I laughed so hard I coughed up some gristle from my Greggs pasty.

This whole 9/11 conspiracy theory is just an unnecessary diversion from real events. Okay, so lets say the US govt were complicit in one way or another. Does that change anything? They're still a bunch of rabid neo-con warmongers whatever.

Let's concentrate on what they definitly are reponsible for, like their vile neo-liberalism and their role in the middle east. The US govt are probably benefitting from these conspiracy theories, cos it diverts attention from their adventures elsewhere. JFK probably served the same purpose for them when the US was in Vietnam.

Please don't tell me you take online, anonymous CNN polls seriously, it's a Friday and I don't like to drink while my faith in humanity has been drained to an all time low :(

I'm just saying that sensible threads about childrens behaviour and US foriegn p olicy get fucked over when the conspiraloons and their opponents like me turn up. I should have been more specific but on this thread the OP mentioned something said by an actor to obliquly back up a view of 911 which is a) not credible and b) has been shown through video evidence to be not credible.

There *is* something fishy about 911 but not in the way the conspiraloons think. The fishy thing is just how much it has been used by the US Govt to shut down debate about US policy in general. It is the 'Remember 911 Heroes' bollocks and it's effects on the political culture of the US that needs to be questioned not whether or not the American Govt was in leauge with zionist space lizards who put explosive pods on the planes or some such nonsene.

I take the piss out of Conspiraloons as they are the static that prevents debate being heard clearly.

Not true. They've been showing reruns of Coronation Street classic episodes on the Soap Channel all over the US for many years now. Jean Alexander was special guest of honour at a recent Emmy Awards in LA. When Hilda speaks, Hollywood listens.

That's Chomksy's take on it as well.

I personally think it makes/would make a huge difference if the US govt were found to be complicit - there's a whole narative been built around 9/11 - it's the founding-myth of so much that's followed. If it was found to be an inside job, then it would be about 1,000,000 time bigger than Watergate.

As an aside, the degree of freneticism with with 9/11 conspiracy theories are crushed on these boards looks to me, a lot more unbalanced than the theories themselves.

But then again, I personally think that the whole thing was a set-up. I'm not trying to construct any elaborate theories - I don't have the evidence, and the way things are looking I never will, but if it came to a vote, I'd go with it being an inside-job. There's just too much that's suspicious about it.

When did the witterings of some cocaine-addled, prostitute-chasing, rich-kid actor become of any interest to the world politics forum?

News just in: next months's Structural Engineer is a film criticism special.
Also: WTC architect takes on major leading role with WIMPEY workers in the supporting cast.

Maybe that's how they planted all the explosives without anybody noticing! They said they were shooting a film and everybody left them to it. Like the centre of Chicago in The Blues Brothers.

So God must exist, the Devil is lurking, Heaven is up there somewhere, miracles must be real, and there's UFOs buzzing about in the sky - because a poll said so!

Fully 92 percent of Americans say they believe in God, 85 percent in heaven and 82 percent in miracles, according to the latest FOX News poll.

More 'proof' for Jazzz:
* Six in ten adults believe in the devil (61%) and in hell (59%).
Forty percent of the public, including 46 percent of women and 33 percent of men believe in ghosts.
* One third (34%) believe in UFOs. More men (38%) than women (31%) hold this belief.
* Just under three in ten (28%) adults believe in witches with slightly more men (30%) than women (27%) believing in them.
One quarter (25%) of adults believe in astrology including 30 percent of women and 19 percent of men.
One in five (21%) believe in reincarnation, the belief that they were once another person.

Are you going to answer my point about online polls or not?
In Bloom said:
Yes, because online polls are the best way to get a statistically accurate picture of the general population's views and are not at all subject to being skewed by being linked to on every fruitloop site on the internet

Thing is, people like Jazzz will be frazzling their mouse buttons to melt down because the have an interest, nay obsession, in seeing the poll reflect their conspiraloon beliefs.

Whereas most people couldn't give a fuck and hence can't be arsed to vote.

Have you voted Jazzz?

Internet polls don't provide a random sample so are statistically dubious. That said, 10,000 fruitloops is a lot of fruitloops.

The question is, "is this idea gaining traction in the mainstream?"
