A thank you to Brexiteers.

There really wasn’t a “good” choice but if nothing else we’ve seen the conservatives burn away the more sane members and have a good scrap for nearly 8 years now so at least brexit has that going for it.
Faced with the tory referendum on which form of neoliberalism would accelerate wealth inequality faster, there was a good choice and some of us took it,

Ah well he's taken his eye off the beer situation he's so enamoured as a man of the people of McDonalds now.
Or not.

What a patronizing cunt. ’Give them cheap beer and a Big Mac and the silly oiks will be happy’. It’s bread and circuses. Old as Satan.

Local elections results have surprised me, Lib Dems are ‘Winning Here’, in my leave constituency.
What made you go and live in a leave constituency given you views on brexit and those that voted for it? Are all your neighbours thick and racist?

As for the monied, are you perhaps suggesting those who voted remain should go live (leave?) in segregated remain only areas?
No. I answered your question. You are suggesting that i'm suggesting that which is very odd. Where or what in that reply/sentence do i suggest that leavers go live in segregated remain only areas? Also can you point me to these segregated remain only areas. Where abouts in Britain are they situated? Ta.

You made out that the poster deliberately chose to live in a Brexit area , see below

No. That is what you think or want to think. Can you explain and/ or point how and where i've said the poster deliberately chose to live in a Brexit area. Ta.

Righto.

But if you check the Brexit threads, you'll find that most who use the terms "thick" and "racist" are leavers.
Is that correct? You can check for me seeing as you're making the assertion. I've never seen or heard a remainer being labelled thick and racist. This is some turn of events and a little odd to say the least. Can you point me towards some of these posts with leavers claiming remainers are thick and racist. Might be in the guardian as well eh?

Sigh.

A few comrades on the leave side decided that the best way to counter remainers was by portraying them as reduce all leave voters to the epithets previously mentioned. For example, the thicko term crops up in here:

I think the comedy value arises from those trying to draw some conclusions about Brexit as a result of those photographs or from remainers on Twitter appealing to followers to send them pictures of empty shelves (an odd fetish).

I fully expect shortages to be worse next week. Tesco’s biggest distributor has got most drivers sat at home self isolating: There is a Labour shortage. Firms refuse to pay the new rate for the job. Oh, and we are in the middle of the worst pandemic in living memory. The miracle - thanks to the thicko Brexit voting workers who work on the roads, in the distribution centres, labouring on farms, the food processing workers and in the supermarkets - is the absolute range and quality of food still available and which has been since March 2020

Looks superficially like a great story. Thicko bumpkins vote for leave and it’s totally self sabotaging.

But then you actually read the story and it’s a local news story generated by a group of independents on the council attacking the ruling Tory Council for not getting a bid in for the matched funding. Tories reply stating that they plan to bid for £700m over the next period….

Btw, understand what Smokeandsteam is getting at. Just don't believe the language is helpful.

I seem to remember you were pretty keen on labeling Leave voters that way yourself.
You might also remember that this self has admitted without reservations that the reaction seven years ago was wrong. And have apologized and acknowledged several times since.

A couple of years ago, we had this avenue sorted, see?

At least you've recognised that you did it, and now stopped.

Many others still haven't recognised it and still appear to me to be suggesting that Leave voters were and are thickos.

Once again.

Was wrong about the leave vote.

Secondly, again. The opportunity to completely free ourselves from the oppression of the UK is to be welcomed.

Brexit is the best thing to happen for Irish freedom. It's all good. All of it.

There was, admittedly, no need for the parodying of remainer language/memes/psychological crisis.

It was superfluous because the fact that they invented a whole lexicon of abusive, demeaning and pejorative terms to display their own presumed (but badly misplaced) superiority should (and does) speak for itself.

Yeah, sorry for singling you out. Lot of invention going on with both camps.
