Good news .... 'We need to get the country ‘rejoin ready.’
Listened to Hesiltine's speech in Lords about joining the Single Market how that actually was a bonire of bureaucracy and how little guidance he got from trade bodies when he did it. Seems to be the same going the other way too . Tempting to agree with Rees Moog but don't.It never fails to lift one's spirits whenever this monumental fucking cunt moans about how Brexit is going

On Monday night, in a further government defeat, peers backed by 142 votes to 132 a provision to ensure ministerial powers to revoke, replace or update retained EU law do not undermine current environmental protections or food safety standards.
The government has narrowly seen off a move to add procedural protections of workers’ rights by a majority of one.
The most ridiculous thing about this bill is that the British government voted in favour of 95% of those laws when we were in the EU.Ah ok this is the quote
This means that they don’t need to add protecting workers rights in the same way as they protect environmental rights when the laws are revoked
Interesting bit in there is how rules will "tighten" in 2027.... There are still lots of trade restrictions yet to actually happen, not least full border checks at Dover.Fresh calls to ‘renegotiate’ the Brexit deal further after more industries are shocked to discover when you cancel your membership to a club, you might no longer access most of its key benefits…
