A thank you to Brexiteers.

If the rest of the UK is expected to put it's interests after Northern Ireland's than that would ALSO be an example of the tail wagging the dog.

It's a metaphor used to describe a situation more than anything else.

Of course we should look after the interests of Northern Ireland, but in alignment of our own itnerests, not Ireland's.

Both the EU and Ireland can't keep throwing the "You guys decided to leave the EU, you sort it." line at us. The problem is really the EU itself, because it's a protectionalist trading block.

If the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland put the interests of Northern Ireland first where would you position the barbed wire, machine gun nests and watchtowers on the land border with the European Union?
Would your plan be in harmony with the international treaty that is the Belfast Agreement?

That's the price of the EU Single Market. Take it up with the EU.

Not after doing my job for about 10 hours. Won't be doing that again. (Posting after finishing a shift.)
hope you had a good sleep but you’re free to try again anytime you like to name one thing that you think ‘we’ could have got done better if it weren’t for treacherous remain MPs.
Maybe if our side had threatened to kneecap the EU negotiators we could’ve got all of the fish in the sea.

What is this ‘align us up’ you tragic twithead.
judging by the reaction from Farage + Co, this new deal "aligns" the UK with EU customs - pegs the UK as would a customs union - and makes right-wing dreams of deregulation and divergence more unlikely, in that any major drop in standards would make the Windsor Agreement unworkable and force the issue again.
i think

It's standard now. A few insults, someone demanding a benefit of brexit, a bit of shouting, bonus points if the editor shows up and bans the leave supporter off the thread for a week, double bonus points for cool meme use that clinch all arguments.

I like the demand from the remaniac "GIVE ME ONE BENEFIT OF BREXIT"

Leaver gives a benefit of Brexit

Remainiac: "THAT'S NOT A BENEFIT" :D

dreaming of the expulsion of ALL EU CITIZENS by this prick was more than insulting, its fascistic. I'll hold back my insults I'd like to make against this new poster so as not to offend you

You need to improve your English language skills. No one is dreaming of the expulsion of all EU citizens.

Please confirm you understand.
