A thank you to Brexiteers.

Oh crap, I forgot their exile finished yesterday...
ignore - I know it makes sense ...
Fecking hell so many posts already ...
I think I'd better try to iggy the thread too ...

i think you'll find that brexiteer mps were the ones who really did their best to undermine every bit of leverage the uk government had with the eu from 2016 to 2020, with the exception of david cameron, whose flawed trip to brussels and chamberlainian return proclaiming victory played such a role in the clusterfuck of the past seven years
Please give examples of how Brexiteer MPs undermined any leverage that PM May or Johnson had. Thanks.

I'm a leave voter. I'm on here. I'm not a Lexiter.

I don't hate remain voters but I believe there is a special place in hell for certain remain MPs who did their best to undermine every bit of leverage the UK government had with the EU from 2016 until the time we actually left in 2020.

You may not hate me, but I hate you for voting to fuck things up in Ireland, because that’s what’s happened and it was clear before the referendum it would happen.
You ought to hate me because you are an enemy of mine.

It's not my fault you want Ireland within a corrupt organisation such as the EU.

If it's all about trade between the North and the South, it's easy, just come out of the EU. It seems Ireland likes to follow the lead of other countries anyway. A sad state of affairs. Personally, I think it's because all of the independent minded, get up and go critical thinkers, have already left Ireland, leaving behind those who can't think for themselves.

Perhaps I should help you all out by taking advantage of my Irish heritage, moving over there, becoming an Irish citizen?

I'd do a good job of helping you all out with your problems.

Ireland have to come out of the EU on the say so of the UK leave voters like you?
It’s easy is it?
The Irish can’t think for themselves can’t they? Have you worked that line into another anti Irish racist ‘joke’?
Yeah right, you are my enemy.

How about constant antagonism towards the EU negotiators when it should be clear to all that you need to rebuild bridges with your closest trading partners, instead incessantly portraying them as the enemy. The poster above is right: you're a fucking plank. How any sensible person can align themselves with the likes of Rees fucking Mogg is beyond me.

It's negotiations. You don't get anything back for good will gestures. And besides, you've just called me a "fucking plank" on your opening remark. I don't think you've got a very good temperment yourself, making you awfully hypocritical.

Do you understand what the tail wagging the dog feels like?

You can't expect us to put your interests above ours when it comes to membership of the EU.

But perhaps you do, because that's what our politicians have always done, especially those who were MEPs were doing all of that time?

That's why I have you down as a gombeen
Politicians don't make a quick buck by selling people down the river.

They make a quick buck through corruption.

They make their retirement by selling people down the river.

Edit To Add : What I found really laughable about some of the remainer crowd, was the notion that us Brexiteers just wanted Brexit to tank the pound to make a "quick buck". - Well yeah, I made about £500 on the markets IIRC. That's fuck all. Who would want Brexit just to make a quick buck?

you'd have made a quick buck if you were smart

I called ya a fucking plank :p

and as for smart ress mogg he moved his investment hedge fund to Dublin to avoid the consequences of brexit

Both remain and leave 'extremists' perhaps forgot that sage advice from mothers and grandmothers everywhere: don't let perfect be the enemy of good.

You're reffering to a investment company that has many customers and it's own board hat has to have offices all around the world for all sorts of reasons.

‘Ours’ includes Northern Ireland doesn’t it? As in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Which part of the dog do you see Northern Ireland as?

but moved the offices out of the UK because of brexit not sure what point you trying to make :D

Can you give an example of one thing that you think would be different now - or would have been different in the agreement - if it wasn’t for these remain MPs undermining things?
One example of what you’re talking about.

I suspect what he means is any MP who realistically held the position of constructive engagement with the EU, rather than constant sniping and undermining. The ridiculously named ERG on the other hand wanted everything on their completely unrealistic terms which I'm sure met with his complete approval.

Yeah that’s why I was asking for an actual thing, like one aspect of the divorce agreement or the price of fish or anything at all that he thinks would have been different if it wasn’t for those pesky remainers.
