Your daily cat and kitten news

Crooked cat update: I shouldn't really speak too soon but two nights ago I thought I may as well try the impulse-bought ear oil I got before we went to the vet for the first time. It is mainly for mites (which I assume he doesn't have as two vets have looked and not seen any signs) but also treats fungus and skin complaints. It's German, so I trust it. Anyway ever since his ear has been upright :hmm: And he's letting me stroke that side of his head. It's early days but he definitely seems more comfortable so that's a win, if nothing else. He's not leaving my side at the moment 🥹

I try not to give them to Lilith as a habit, but I guessed as it's only a small pack and she hasn't had any in months, it wouldn't do any harm. She's out at the moment enjoying her Friday night, so it'll be a nice surprise for her when she gets home.
ALDI Yummies Mixed Treats. - blue packet (with an imitation of the Felix cat = Vic just has to see the Niue packet and he goes mad - knocks them out of your hand

I'm back to square one with getting a cat flap as the one I ordered isn't in stock. So it's either £70 for a basic microchip one or £200 for the all singing, all dancing model.

And in this weather I need to get on with it.

Awww, we've been visited by one of next doors still rather baby cats! 20240907_095539.jpg

She was wandering up and down the wall and seemed to want to jump down into our garden but was too nervous either because of the height or because of Vastra dozing on the chair (ignoring her hard). She scooted back over when Robin came outside, so at least she wasn't stuck. Robin said Vastra gave her a relieved look!

Ahhh, she is cute

I am absolutely appalled and ashamed of our murderers. I don't know what to do apart from keep them in, which won't go well, given how destructive they were before we let them out. They have killed and mutilated 3 pigeons, a rat and a frog that I know of, probably plenty more, and I'm quite depressed about the whole thing.
