Moz is 12 now. Peckham born, raised in Elephant and Streatham and retired to Wales. He has turned up after a brief few days absence, loved up but growling if disturbed.
Off to the vet in the morning then...

Timed cat feeders are your friend
Load up the biscuit hopper and away you literally go
An overnight no problem. Probably work up to a weekend away
Yeah, he will for only one night. Any longer than that and I'd personally make sure there was someone to check in on him, but as long as he's got food he probably won't even notice you're gone!He doesn’t overeat, he’s pretty measured about that.
He’ll have dry food and wet food too.
It’s the company thing that I worry about a bit, cos he’s an only cat.
And any injury going unnoticed.
Although he does have his cat-pal who visits, and he likes to spend many hours outdoors doing his own thing. And he’s definitely traffic savvy.
I’m sure he’ll be fine.
Our two seem to go into survival mode if we’re away overnight. They huddle together, eke out their food and sleep a lot - although Vic goes out to hunt and gets extra rodent protein. They’re very glad and scolding when we get back though. Sure they’ll be fine.So I’m going to be away overnight. Probably won’t be home til about 9 tomorrow.
Cat feeding neighbour is suddenly unable to cover cat feeding duties and I haven’t the time or the energy to ring round everyone I know to get alternative help. So, I’m going to leave Cat unattended overnight.
I‘ve been meaning to do this at some point anyway. All the cats I’ve lived with in the past have had this initiation rite. It’s a just-in-case thing. I need to know it can be done if it becomes necessary.
He’ll have plenty of food and water. He’s sleeping most of the day at the moment anyway. He’s already quite accustomed to irregular rock and roll hours. When I’m away and someone pops in to feed him, he’ll often be out himself and won’t see them. Weather is cool enough for the food not to go off.
I’m sure he’ll be fine although he may wonder where all the humans have gone.

Awww, poor boy, but he looks happier now after his meal. Well deserved!Moz went vets, couldn't find anything wrong with him. He may have hurt his left back leg, but is recovering. He may well have been upset at the builders in the house, throwing up dust.
He has just had a meal of roast chicken.

We picked up our new rescue kittie Theo from Yorkshire yesterday and the RSPCA gave us a hand-knitted blanket that a volunteer had made for him - I wonder if it was this guy?Barry uses his knitting skills to keep homeless cats warm in winter
