Having had a case conference the vets strongly suggested the amputation, having noted that she's otherwise in good condition and a lot feisty !Sod it, fuck itty fuck and bugger. [sorry to be so sweary]
That lovely sweet tortoiseshell that's been visiting is currently at the vets.
On a drip for shock & pain relief.
facing the amputation of a back leg or being pts.
the former will cost us £1000 or more, unless I can get help from cats protection as she's a feral.
will have an update tomorrow morning - assuming she survives the night.
because of, well, either a car ran into her or she's been in a trap or been attacked by a dog.
not sure which
currently think she's been in a snare, as there's little or no evidence of a fight or damage from contact with the road surface.
Update ...
Having had a case conference the vets strongly suggested the amputation, having noted that she's otherwise in good condition and a lot feisty !
That was done this morning, and by 16:00 she was sitting up and commentating on her confinement ...
Going to collect her, and necessary supplies at lunchtime tomorrow.
And find out how much our soft hearts are costing !
Just spent some time on reading up what I may/will need to be doing for the next couple of weeks & months.
I got calls back from the local RSPCA / CPL since she's classed as a feral atm, but not sure how/if they can help [there's a postcode lottery over much of the country for both supposedly national organisations - further information in a couple of days, I hope].
I'd call her Trinity.further update
Am busy sorting out temporary accommodation & supplies {Thank you High Voltage & izz !}
Trip to collect the now Triped feline [as yet unnamed] is booked for 14:15 - to avoid two dogs !
This is a picture of Matilda, the tripod (no right back leg) sweet girl from across the road from me.
She is sensibly wary and doesn’t stray far from home, but has been going strong for years.
I get the sense that the other local cats like Harry, Napoleon, Bloom, Buster, Daisy and the Red Cat recognise Matilda’s vulnerability and leave her in peace.

We’ve got a trio of tripods in our street. All very active kitties who’ve adapted well to their missing limb situation. Speaking to the owners of Oscar and Wednesday, they both bounced back pretty quickly from their amputations and haven’t let it get in the way of their daily business.Avoiding the dog appointments didn't work, but everybody was well behaved ...
Just got back with one very subdued & stoned triped feline.
Think she's sleeping, again.
Apparently [and probably due the drugs] she has been very quiet since yesterday's operation. Although seemed to be watching what was going on in the vet's kennels.
I've got my care orders ...
Ha, my OH has just had a narrow escape from actually sitting on Paddy, as he was unexpectedly in the armchair (he usually prefersMrs SFM leant forward on her chair and Vic hopped into the gap and refused to move

That’s a wee bit terrifying
Those eyes!Picture from street WhatsApp group of a neighbour's ragdoll who has been coming in and making himself at home with other neighbours! He's never come inside ours but we have occasionally have had chats with him outside it, even though he lives at totally the other end of the street.
