Your daily cat and kitten news

Ken, who is normally in like clockwork around 8pm and a total pig who will burst out of nowhere at any time at the first shake of a Dreamies bag, went missing last night. I've got Covid so my husband spent hours combing the nearby car parks and streets. At about 1am I went to bed defeated. Then a friend texted and suggested leaving his food bowl out to guide him by smell, and five minutes later he sauntered casually into the living room  Little twat was obviously close by all along, listening to us lose our minds.

Oh, they're such a worry.

Our Pan does this, he comes in late every night, sauntering into the kitchen, and it seems like he's close by waiting for us to go and try get him. Sometimes he comes back, approaches the back door, sees us and legs it again, but at least we know he's not far away.

Glad he's OK, the naughty bugger, and I hope you're over your COVID soon!

Ryu does this too. I worried more last night because it was so out of character.

I don't know if you find the same thing but I worry so much more about these two than any other cat I've had, I think because we are raising them from babies. All my others have come to us fully grown and have felt more like they had earned their autonomy somehow!

We had Minou from a kitten and at this age he went out at night, but for some reason I don't want them out at night, I want to know they're in with us. Partly because H and Pan have bonded so, she'd worry if he was out at night, but its not just H, its me too. They seem ok with the routine, they get us up in the morning, have their breakfast and go out.

I bloody love the happy doting pappi cat videos. It often seems to be ginger toms who are doting husband's and fathers.

Does anyone in or near Brixton want a kitten? Or anyone else anywhere...? Anyone...?

I've got a catling living in my back garden and despite concerted efforts to find her people, she's now looking for a home. And I suspect she may be pregnant.

I'm becoming very fond of her but I just can't take on another cat right now.

She's about 18 months-2 years old. Polite, charming, smart, sweet natured, cuddly, not needy. Tabby + white. She's fine outdoors but I suspect would prefer to be mainly an indoor cat. I'll post pictures later but you can see her in the woohoo cats of Brixton thread.

So, he's out late again, came in a while ago, I heard him at his bowl, twice, and then he legged it out when he saw me. I want to go to bed.
