Your daily cat and kitten news

Vic has just come in with dried blood on his neck - thankfully it’s not his. Just had a look around the garden to see if I could find his unfortunate victim (This is a cat who cheerfully decapitates grey squirrels) but nothing..

The cats we met on our walk today.
The ever delightful and fluffy Ra who kept an eye in the squirrel while demanding his pettings and compliments.

This sweet and soft boy who likes a belly rub and is super fond of chin tickles

This spectacularly whiskered traitorous créature who enjoyed some head scritches, walked away and came back pretending to ask for more but attacked and drew blood with no warning.

And the skittish floof who would only be admired from afar

I was doing some gardening today, and bumped into one of my neighbours from a few doors down. She's a bit aloof, but reasonably affectionate.

However she gave me the most almighty hiss when I attempted a tummy-tickle. I have to relearn that most cats don't love it.

Whole black cats have a bit of a reputation for not being photogenic but I found they always look fab on photos in a garden setting, something about the way they look very defined and full of texture against the bright colours in natural light. Like in the second picture, super soft looking fur next to the bright saturated French marigolds.
