Your daily cat and kitten news

With my folks away I'm sharing cat sitting duty.

We've set up a cat report to track goings on.

That's detailed! I only keep that sort of record when I've had ill/post-surgical ones, or if I felt they weren't thriving to track what they ate/vom/toileting.
I do keep a diary for Jakey's medication so I can check that I gave it and what time, if we are out late one night and he gets his pill a bit late I can't step it back to the regular time by more than 30 minutes a night (I usually give it at 11pm) cos it's powerful stuff that lowers blood pressure so I have to be a bit careful with it (and I am supposed to handle it wearing medical gloves so I don't absorb it through my skin  ).
Mostly I am a bit haphazard though.

Love the entry "found in garden box"!

Marvin is post vet trip but this was originally just a food tracker so we know if they had been fed. Then the poo tracker was added because Patch was dropping massive stinkers and we wanted to see if there was any correlation.
Soon after in and out times were put on just so we know if we should see if they want to come in.

The little drawings are new.

if you have the right sort of cat flap, you can get one that will log kitty's meanderings, and the phone app will meow.

one of my colleagues in a previous job had this. i think kitty must have known, as he went in and out a lot to annoy us...

Well, having just completed FiFis course of examining (all fine btw). Decided that it was time for the vet to have a look at Casper this month, for a general poke and prod, look at his teeth, weight check and an expensive stroke

He hasn't been too the vet in ages as it really stresses him out so we only take him when absolutely necessary and not before

Weight: 4.4kg
Teeth fine apart from a bit of tartar on one tooth
Heart fine
Internal squeeze showed up nothing to be concerned about
All in all a clean bill of health
I've made a note in my calendar for this time next year we'll have old cats bloods run just to be on the safe side. We caught FiFis diabetes quite early and the treatment has kept her going nicely
Next month...Clive

Be interesting to see how heavy he is
So, Clive. Or Mr Tubby as he's known in this house hold

'Twould appear he's got a bit of a heart murmur. Bob had one and lived to an estimated 20 so not that bothered tbh

Clive really doesn't like going to the vet. Super stressed so this is not something I'll be repeating any time soon unless absolutely vital

But his weight?

A truly astonishing 4.5kg. I'd've nearly bet the house he was north, and well north, of 5kg but not so

Apart from that he's fine

I've got a dog heart monitoring app (for shame) that's being pressed into use for him just to see how quickly he breathes whilst asleep. He's well in the safe zone so no worries there thank goodness
