How's Kizzy, ddraig?
Thanks
Had us worried earlier as was hiding under bed and I went to see her and she was trying to miaow and nothing was coming out, looked very dozy too
She is on 2 types, cystophan and metacam, of medication so probably that
Partner spoke to vet who reassured us
Kizzy has been up and about and more normal since. Hopefully these treatments and urinary food will sort it.
Misty was under the bed looking after her which was nice 🙂

Sweet of Misty :) Hope Kizzy continues to feel better!

And Salem’s!

I love black cats. My neighbour had a huge, very old and very fluffy black chap. Salem detested him too, poor boy. She’s… unnecessarily vocal about her territorial obsessions.

Very solid looking cat, bit of a bruiser? Gorgeous fur too. My Sonic was slender but it was like picking up a breezeblock, pure muscle, a lot heavier than he looked.

if we're on black cats, this chap (sooty) used to live with a neighbour. he never seemed quite comfortable in daylight, but took his night patrolling quite seriously (i had a job at the time that involved getting home quite late - or sometimes very early)

his human had to go in to a home, and sooty moved to a relative of hers, and apparently settled in to retirement as more of a house-cat

Does anyone actually get and give probiotics to their cats? been asked to ask
TIA!

I once had a summer when all 3 of mine got the shits, fecal samples showed nothing major going on and we were recommended a Royal Canin food (the ID food) that was easily digestible and supposedly had probiotics and it did the trick.
I've also given live natural (unsweetened/unflavoured/no artificial sweeteners or additives) yoghurt to cats after a hefty course of antibiotics.

I wouldn't say it needs to be a regular part of their diet though, if they have the right balance of gut bacteria you don't need to keep topping it up if that makes sense. After antibiotics though might be beneficial for a few days (although wait until the course of antibiotics is completely finished).

I tried manually to get him to sit on my lap again today, but he's not going for it. He's such a friendly, affectionate cat, but for some reason doesn't deem me worthy.
