The permanent external faction of Worker Power invites advance sections of the working class to: Socialism Plus in the 21st century A day of debate and discussion

Atlantis- which way forward for anti-imperialists? For years Atlantis has remained somewhere under the sea but if it was to be found, by say a sort of revolutionary Jacques Cousteau, which side would anti imperialists take? Dr Chuck Wilson editor of Amateur Lawnmower debates with Cheryl Tweedy from Girls Aloud.

this song is great. matgamna should be sectioned for the shit he writes.
I've just checked to see if they ever took that poem off their website, it's still up there but they've now added a disclaimer saying "If you have visited this page because of a scandalising about the AWL please visit here for an outline of its origins - in a Stalinist fake news witch hunt."

Why on earth is that still up there? Jesus fucking christ.

The disclaimer is even worse.

"Socialists oppose child abuse, but we also opposes vigilantism: it drives child abuse underground"

The worst thing is that for many people around the Labour Party, this is 'Trot' means to them.

I know urban is a bit trot-sceptic but surely even urban can agree we do not deserve this association.

I'm confused I thought child abuse was underground

Yes just an absolutely mad fucking sentence. "If it wasn't for these VIGILANTES child abuse would be happening out in the open"

Red London, an unpleasant grouping of middle class edgelord twats with absolutely no political significance whatsoever, must be absolutely delighted with this kind of publicity.

To be fair, "mentioned in the disclaimer they've added to Matgamna's weird incest poem" isn't exactly front page of the Sun when it comes to publicity. But yeah, I suppose it does give them too much credit in that people were definitely going "what's up with that, why the fuck did the AWL publish it on their website?" ages before they came along.

I know nothing about the background of all this. My only contact with AWL were a couple who ran the local Momentum group a couple of years ago. Have to say they were incredibly democratic and did just what people asked them to, they didn't push their own opinions at all - I remember asking one of them what they actually thought about a particular action because they'd just been listening and hadn't said what they felt.

Back in the 60s when my mum worked for the CP full time she got ‘groped’ by a very senior cadre. She told him to fuck off and reported him to her boss. A few days later was told that ‘very senior’ comrades were relying on her never to mention this again. Plus la change.

Fuckers.

This thread has made me laugh so much, top stuff.

Fwiw the boy band 5ive was really a reference to the movement for a 5th international (trot scum).Obvious to all whose side Westlife took in the cold war, nato shills. And debate still rages about what the S in S club 7 stood for. I say sindicalismo, others say social democracy

it's the 7 which is more interesting - obvs starts with Marx and Engels but people differ about the subsequent five

Allegedly Mark and Robbie and Howard all wanted Take That you Capitalist Bastards but Gary got them to shorten it.

So it seems the YCL problem with infiltration by horrible sexist predators is continuing and worsening

I watched the whole of that as I had a spare 10 minutes. If these people believe there is a child sexual exploitation concern, why have they not raised it with Children’s social care and/or the police?
