They are the No campaign tbf

Indeed, and as I said in April, defending the status quo is boring.

thats not the point (I disagree but..) the point is voters don't want the NHS privatised at all, they never did.

The NHS depends upon private industry: drug companies, equipment manufacturers, etc, etc. It's a question of state management of the contracts with private industry. And that's not been well done: back as far as I can recall, it's been too easy for a company to bung the ruling party some money and get a lucrative contract in return.

This is not the point though. There is nothing from the No campaign. A no vote is the end, it is basically "Carry on, nothing to see here. Trust Jim Murphy and the gang to do the business at Westminster".

Anyone seriously thinking the UK is fine and dandy when we are having a referendum on independence is either brainwashed, an MP or both. To offer nothing substantive during the campaign. Fucking lunacy. Even if they win, what then? Back to the lies, resentment and right-wing politics?

Darling missed another open goal on nukes. He could have acknowledged that the majority don't like them but noted that a significant minority do.

Whichever way Scotland votes, the politicians win.

And perhaps that is the better option? It's a tough sell.

Surely it is a good thing there is a referendum?
Make no mistake, if there is a yes vote there will still be hard choices and many may not like it.

You'd be mad to vote for no. Going down that route is madness or bravery.

Going the Yes route is also madness or bravery.

From my long-term perspective, Salmond did himself a disservice by not addressing the issue of the oil running out. Yes, it won't run out in the next decade, but it will eventually.

And here are the figures from the poll on voting intention in the referendum. This is what people said after the debate.

Will you vote yes or no? (don’t knows included)

(Figures from the last debate in brackets)

Yes: 45% (42%)

No: 47% (47%

Don’t know: 8% (11%)

Will you vote yes or now (don’t knows excluded)

Yes: 49% (47%)

No: 51% (53%)

Remember, this is just a poll of people who watched the debate (many people won’t have watched it) and it is based on a very small sample.

The sample of 500 people polled this time is not the same as last time, although there is almost certainly some overlap.

And the sample is small. According to the figures, there were 15 respondents who said they were voting no pre-debate who afterwards said they would vote yes. And four people in the yes camp pre-debate shifted to no.

If they vote no, how long will the actual separation take and have both sides agreed to accept the border as it stands?
Just need to know if I need to start moving munitions up thataway:D

They seem very keen on getting rid of them and the jobs involved in looking after them, pity there's nowhere here could replace Faslane, be a nice boost to our local economy.

How about somewhere like Fowey on the south coast? It's deep enough for the china clay ships.
